the Guggenheim Museum) and you will be amazed at how much more detailed and lifelike it is ...
The LEGO Architecture model for the Flatiron Building continues the recent trend in the product line for increasing the level of detail in each individual model (nominally by also increasing the piece count, but so it goes). Stand the Flatiron Building next to earlier New York City landmarks (i.e., the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, the Guggenheim Museum) and you will be amazed at how much more detailed and lifelike it is in comparison. This is a great set. Its construction is rather complex (which is very refreshing after the rather simplistic construction of the Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center), and will take you between 1 - 2 hours to build. As mentioned in the above paragraph, it is an exceptionally well-detailed set. It's a great addition to your collection, and a must-buy for anyone collecting models of New York City landmarks.

Excellent
It's amazing how much more detailed LEGO architecture sets have become over the years. This set looks GREAT and is a very fun build. For me there was a perfect mix of repetition and a gradual reveal of how it all fit together; overall really satisfying and kind of soothing, really. One very minor criticism is that the angle where the two long sides of the building meet in the front can be a little loose, since they don't actually connect to each other. Be sure to position them close as possible when you display. We're talking maybe a millimeter difference but you'll notice it if it's too wide open. Still, a great set. Get this one now before it goes out of production and prices get distorted.I got this for just under $40 and for that price this is a great value. I've found that Architecture sets can tend to hover above the ten-cents-per-piece mark since they are a more premium product for a more adult audience, but anytime you can get a substantial set like this (450+ pieces) for under that mark it's a great opportunity. Plus, the set includes LOTS of really helpful pieces for your overall Lego collection should you want to dismantle this. But why would you want to dismantle it? It's so cool!

Wonderful build & great addition to a lego collection!
Bought this for my fiance who just graduated the Flatiron Coding School. He has seen this piece before, but we never got around to purchasing it.Overall it was a fun build, but there was a lot of the pieces of the same color so it could get slightly confusing.I would say the price is quite high, but this is because its a discontinued piece from several years back.

Good kit, although to me
Good kit, although to me, it doesn't really look all that much like the Flatiron. Now, compared to the other Lego kits of NYC iconic buildings, it looks great (IMO, of course.) So, if you think you'll like it based on the photos, go for it with confidence. If you want an actual mini-Flatiron on your desktop...well, I'm not sure where else to go, but this probably isn't it.

Bought this as a gift for my sister who seems obsessed with the architectural beauty of the Flatiron and she absolutely loved it. The lego building looks amazing and also came with a neat little booklet that had some history on the building. This would make a great addition to any lego collection, architect enthusiast, or even someone who loves NYC.

high quality gift
Was a gift for a nephew who builds and collects these. Biggest challenge is finding one he hasn't yet made in my price range. Lego is expensive--but the quality is there and there is never a problem of missing parts in the original box or unclear directions. In this case, since he keeps them built and on display, the quality is a key feature.Would love to see the prices of the multi-pieces become more reasonable--but the Lego quality is consistently high.

For any level teen or adult
My first black-box Lego kit, and I only made a few mistakes to correct. The colors are not super clearly delineated (tan vs. brown or light grey) in the instructions, but that was my only complaint.

Solid, but not as good as some of the other architecture models
This may be a bit unfair as I built the Flatiron immediately after I put together the much more detailed and life-accurate Lego Architecture White House, but the Flatiron really left a lot to be desired. This model is more about giving the impression of the Flatiron building than getting the details right. It succeeds in suggesting a vaguely art-deco triangular building. But it doesn't really evoke the real thing.
