NIXT CLOCK - IN12 Nixie Clock Temp Remote Alarm Power 100% Assembled

I received the item today. I unpacked it and saw the one page instruction sheet, very poorly written, totally incomplete and somewhat incorrect. I installed a 2032 battery in the remote control. I installed the long antenna cord in the jack in the back that is on the left side as you face the front of the clock. I plugged in the clock. I fooled with the clock remote control for one hour trying to set the time. I tried every combination and sequence on the remote control that I could think of. I was just about to return the clock after no success when I discovered that after you enter the time setting mode (I think you press the Mode button then #1 but I'm not sure how I got into the time setting mode and I may have pressed Menu before hitting Mode then #1 or some other combination), the first two digits of the clock on the left side as you face the front of the clock show stable 00. I fooled around for another 30 minutes then discovered that in that state you can advance the time digit by hitting the + sign repeatedly and it will index through 1,2,3,4,... Do not try to enter the time by pressing the hour numerical digit or the 0 then the hour digit for hours less than 10. That does not work. When you are showing the left two digits in the 00 stable time setting mode you hit the + sign to advance the hour one by one. Then hit the >>| on the right of the remote control and the next two digits go to 00 and you can index through the minutes with the + sign repeatedly. After you exit the time setting mode with the time showing normally on the clock, the Menu button with firm repeated slow presses indexes through the various states of the four small round red LED's that separate the time digits (flashing, stable not flashing, off, etc.). Similarly the Mode button with repeated slow firm presses indexes through the various color states of the color LED's that light-up the whole periphery of the clock. I have no idea how to set the date or the alarm or the temperature and I hope the alarm doesn't go off tonight. The clock is quite nice looking when it is properly set-up. I do not know where to install the backup battery so that a power failure will not wreck the time setting. I hope the thing stays stable and works.

Love the warmth of the nixie tubes! Easy to set up with the remote after reading the manual. Just make sure you plug the temperature probe into the port with "18B20" next to it on the PCB (the port in the middle of the other two ports). The seller included two extra INS-1 Nixie tubes (used for the colons) which is very nice. I love that you can keep the background LEDs on red because it complements the color of the tubes very well.Remember to order a CR1220 battery for the clock so that it does not lose the time and date when it is unplugged, and a CR2025 battery for the remote.I highly recommend this clock over others!!!

The media could not be loaded.  Overall I’m pretty happy with it. Looks nice and everything seems to work. A real conversation piece. Only downside is The instructions are terrible. Somehow I managed to set the time by mashing buttons. But I can’t figure out how to make it alternately display the time, date and temp. Doesn’t even tell you you need to plug the thermometer into the right input jack. You’re expected to just figure it out.But, in the end, I love it

The media could not be loaded.  Great clock and for the price is very nice. I have built the kits and they can be difficult if something isn't correct. This was really fun just to plug in and program. The instructions were very good and easy to follow. Great buy don't wait!!

It's just what we wanted. It's a clock for our bedroom, that adds a litlle warm glow to the room.
