Awesome
This bed is amazing and such a cool concept! It is perfect for transferring your child from a toddler bed into a twin size bed. For my daughter’s fourth birthday I updated her room with “big girl” furniture and this looks great with the other pieces. The height of the bed is perfect for a 3-6 year old. It’s not too high like most beds this style. I didn’t realize till we finished putting it together that there is a chalk board on the front panel, so cool. This bed is also very sturdy and strong. My husband has crawled up in it to cuddle with our daughter. He’s 180 lbs. and no issues. I’ve added lights underneath the bed and set it up as a secret spot. I’m really glad to have found this bed.

I love this bed. Took me, single woman, about 8 hrs to assemble
I was worried about how high it would be for my 2 year old. Very low as it says low loft. Took me 8 hrs to assemble by myself as a woman. I enjoyed the easy to read instructions and pictures and the labeling of the parts! Looks amazing and fun!!!! Still waiting on the mattress and a small box spring because the wood slats it comes with are not sturdy, I can tell already, they also were not long enough and some of the nails just weren’t able to be nailed into the wood frame securely because they weren’t long enough, which is probably why some reviewers mentioned the wood slats breaking. That is my concern also as I haven’t used this bed yet but did buy a twin pallet to lay on top of the wood slats in hopes of giving the wood slats more of a sturdy foundation so they don’t break. I also couldn’t find a 4inch mattress for this bed, which would have been ideal to ensure that the mattress isn’t too high. But I have to wait for the mattress to arrive to see the end product of mattress plus bed. Also, there was a piece of wood that was chipped and looked painted over. Since the bed looks nice overall, I’ll still give it perfect review. Lastly, some of the paint could’ve been coated thicker as I can see the brown wood underneath paint on the ladder which seems to not have been coated well. Nonetheless, still looks great overall. My son hasn’t used this bed yet so hopefully the reviews stay the same after he uses it.

Great bed that takes a few hours to assemble with some degree of difficulty
We got this for our toddler and she loves it. Our only real complaints are that it's kind of a pain to put together, and that's without considering the three year old chipping in. Tightening some of those screws was painful. The chalkboard tray also appeared to be warped when we were installing it, but after the entire bed was assembled it was no longer problematic - maybe the assembly process and screw tightening pushed it into place sufficiently and maybe that was part of the design process. We put the sides and smaller parts together in the garage and then moved it all upstairs. We probably got a few scuffs on it from the garage floor but no huge deal. We have been using chalk on the chalkboard and it erases fine. The great part about this bed is that solves our issue of not being too high off the floor. So it's super fun because it has a climber and a slide but she isn't as high as a bunk bed would get her to causing problems with the ceiling fan.Great price point also. Overall very happy with this bed.

Good for the Price - Good Design, But Paint Smell and Not a Chalkboard
The design looks great and although not perfect I think it looks wonderful in my kids room. The assembly was straight forward but does take some time. Having the right tools will save a whole lot of time, as is with all furniture.A few things to note:1. There is a terrible paint smell. Some other reviews call it "pine", but no this is paint smell. (Its the same kind of smell after I use spray paint.) The smell lingers for a while too so be prepared to air out multiple days. In other words you do not want to use this right away for your kid after you build it. Your kid will want to climb on it so if they do then at least make sure you have a window opened. It may be best to open the box and air out the materials for a few days before assembly.2. The description does say the color is "white washed". Look closely at the attached pictures, the paint layer is translucent when you look closer. They arent lying when saying its "white washed" but it really would have been better if they painted it full white with proper layers of paint and seal. I suspect the "white washing" process might just be the reason for the bad paint smell.3. The chalkboard is not a chalkboard. It works with crayons but not with chalk. The board is glossy and chalk will not stay. Using crayons is fine but just know it doesnt erase as easily, you will have to wipe it clean using a solvent or cleaner to start fresh on the board. This is fine for us but just don't have the wrong expectations since the pictures can be misleading. The product isn't perfect, but kids beds are expensive comparatively speaking. This is lower cost than equivalent beds but just make sure your expectations are aligned with the points I outlined above.

Not Solid Wood, Broke in Year 3
Purchased in November of 2020 for my 3 year old daughter. Front manufactured wood piece just broke February 2023. Donco does not replace broken particle board pieces. Seller does not provide nor sell replacement parts. Seller should specify that the bed frame is not made of real pine wood. Perhaps the chalkboard…maybe the slide have solid pine wood pieces. As pictured the main support for the front of the bed, which you attach the ramp, chalkboard and slide to, is made of weak manufactured particle board.
