Easy pop up tent for the chaos of camping with kids and arthritis
2024 Camping Season UPDATE:We beach and forest camped probably over 100 days in the 2024 season. We camped through a horrible heatwave, beach hurricane like downpours (with only the rainfly - I did have to stand up and hold the walls a couple times because the winds were so strong the rain would come up under the rainfly while blowing in the sidewall) I still absolutely love this tent. Easy up, easy down, fits in the bag. Zippers still zip. Only issues are a couple patches in the mesh top and a couple small holes on the flooring part simply from being put up/down so many times and it being rolled up having metal hinged/popup poles. Still 10/10 would highly recommend. Not only this specific tent, but the Core brand. I got a smaller tent for my teenage daughter and now also an easy up canopy with an attached side wall too and I am very happy with every purchase.June 2023 follow up:Camped in torrential downpours for almost a week and had absolutely no issues with water or leaking. Had an extra tarp over to make sure, but even with the winds and heavy rain, not a single issue. Even more pleased with this tent than before. I love the nights we can sleep under the stars and have the rain fly off - easy to take on and off with one person if need be. It has served us well all summer!!Original review:After having to sort a snafu with Amazon, the ‘new’ tent I bought had dirt all over the bottom… finally took it camping for memorial day weekend and was impressed.I camp with a toddler and teenager who are lovely but not the most helpful. I chose a pop up as opposed to the traditional tent poles for this reason. I was able to put it up and take it down on my own. I have a joint disease and arthritis especially in my hands, so it was very important to have something I could assemble quickly with ease. So much better than the fiberglass/metal poles you have to feed through and try to put up especially with a bigger tent. I was even able to get it back into its bag.Recommend wearing work gloves for ease as well. The mesh top is incredible. We laid there just staring at the trees. The rain fly is easy to put on and take off even alone. It didn’t rain when we went, so I’m unsure on how rainproof. One day was windy and had no structure issues. There are helpful YouTube videos for setting up and taking down. Recommend watching them before attempting…it’s simple but a bit confusing the first time.Pros:- Set up/ took down solo- Zippers and pulls seem to be good quality. No issues getting caught on first weekend use- I like the air vents and huge mesh windows and roof for airflow- The slit for a power cord is so smart (Didn’t use yet because placement of campsite and electric, but better than running a cord in the door letting bugs easily walk inside on the cord, I love the idea)- Couple pockets sewn into the inside were useful.- We fit a queen air mattress with plenty of room, could fit another easily- Can stand up no issue, I’m 5’7” and had plenty of headspace- Actually fits back in its bag, just takes patience to roll it small enough- Didn’t use a tarp for the footprint this time, but will probably for longer trips, the ground fabric/material seems durableCons:- there’s already a couple holes in the mesh top (I purchase mesh patches to fit next time we go camping)- Hole in the green wall too (same plan to fix)- I’m sure the poles are sturdy, I’ve never had a pop up before, but I get nervous they’re a bit flimsy. No issues yet, but I was very careful.Overall high quality. Worth the extra cost for the simplicity of the set up/take down in our situation. Looking forward to our next trip!

BEST TENT I'VE EVER OWNED, going to buy the 6 man also!
EXCELLENT TENT! Easy for anyone to put up and FAST! Did it myself in just minutes. Very nice quality! Excellent ventilation options with plenty of room. Withstood some VERY DANGEROUS surprise STORMS this past weekend 19-21 Sept 25 at Douthat State Park. Inside was BONE DRY! LOVE THIS TENT of all of my 88 tents! Going to sell 6 of the others and also purchase the 6 man.VERY kind of the Vendor to have made the storage bag larger than most so it's easy to place back into the bag!

Attractive, sturdy, large family tent with easy setup
I am just now getting around to writing this review, we bought this tent in October 2017, with plans to use it on our family's 2 day mountain camping trip last fall. As a family of five, with 3 younger children we researched the larger family tents thoroughly, before deciding on this model. The tent package that eventually arrived was in good condition with all parts accounted for and in working order/undamaged.However, the actual timing of delivery could have gone better (this is no knock on the manufacturer but the delivery/shipping delays). Though I had planned ahead to get the tent sent days ahead of time, it wound up arriving on the day we were leaving for the camping trip, when it was supposed to have been delivered several days before. We learned later that the package sat at the post office for DAYS, with no notifications sent, and unbeknownst to us, as well as the postal office staff there (go figure). Thus I didn't have an opportunity to do a test setup of the tent before our trip. This would turn out to be my downfall as we didn't arrive to our destination until sundown and by the time we registered at the campground, then unloaded, and we were setting up camp in the dark (assisted with very low lighting from our lanterns & flashlights). Although I knew one of the tent's features was it's "ready-to-go" state & easy setup, I was not familiar with how the tent sections with poles unfolded. The somewhat awkward , non-intuitive way the tent is folded up is maybe my only real complaint about the tent. Maybe if you are an engineer it will come natural to you. But I am used to the standard way of putting together traditional tents.. that is, segments of tent poles and sliding them through nylon loops in the tent fabric. This is a standard setup for most dome like tents which I have done many times camping before. ...But this time, in the dark and in my haste to have our tent up, I forced open one of the wings at a wrong angle and bent, almost snapped one of the metal structural poles. See attached photos. After assessing it more, we eventually understood the setup and were able to get it up in a few minutes but it wasn't easy in to do it in the dark. In the end we struggled with it over a half hour, in the dark, on the first time setup.I am still giving this a high rating and have to put down at least partial blame to user error. As for the tent itself and our experience … it was roomy and functional. We were able to fit 2 large (queen size), air mattresses inside with room to spare. The two “rooms” could be opened up into one big room - which we liked to do. The entrance and exit doors were large and easy to zip up and unzip. There are large screen windows which provides great ventilation. The nylon material seems like a good quality/durable and though we put some stress on areas at times, we experienced no rips, fraying or tearing of any kind. The rain tarp cover fit great and was easy to attach as well. You can see in the photos, the bent pole which made the one side of the tent droop slightly. It was still structurally sound in spite of this and stood on its own. We jerry rigged some thin rope from the weakened corner to a nearby tree which seemed to help keep up the intended structure's shape. We didn't experience any rain or inclement weather to test it out in regards to waterproofing, etc, but imagine it would hold up fine unless you're in the middle of a monsoon or hurricane and in that case it's probably time to head home anyway. In conclusion, I am happy with my purchase with one minor exception (the first time setup/unfolding can be difficult/confusing). As mentioned, the because the first time setup is maybe not so easy as it may look , and i recommend anyone purchasing to take their time on initial unboxing, and definitely do it once BEFORE you go on the camping trip. And, try not to force any section open like I did.I am hopeful to contact the company soon to see about getting a replacement pole as the one pole section looks easily replaceable just switching out using a phillips head screwdriver. Hopefully the part is not too expensive. We look forward to using the tent in spring on our next camping trip!
