Works for Sennheiser HD 560 S
My cat chewed on the original cable that come with my Sennheiser HD 560 S so this was a great replacement. This one feels a lot more durable. Sound quality sounds about the same as the original cable.

Good cable
Used with my sennheiser hd599 headphones. Works as good as oem. Not a huge fan of the braided cable, every time i move i can hear it in the headphones rubbing against stuff.

I Had to Buy This or My Expensive Headphones Would Have Been Useless
Why did I have to pay for a separate and brand-specific item for an expensive pair of headphones to have a quality headphone jack? This should have been included with my headphones. Instead, I got a short cord made of cheap materials that came loose and detached constantly, and eventually broke. Ordinary jacks aren't compatible with Sennheiser models. No, no, no. You need brand-specific jacks for their models. This quality jack is no more expensive than similar items found in stores. So, again, why is it not standard issue for Sennheiser headphones? Seriously!

Outstanding cable for the price... that was received in WELL under the estimated delivery time to boot.
I am writing this with the assumption that you know there are other options out there, and that Sennheiser makes one of them. When I bought this cable, I was coming off of my second 4 foot cable (for my HD558's) direct from Sennheiser. As everyone knows, the stock cable is WAY too long for anything but home theater use, so I immediately replaced it back in 2011 when I got these cans. Usually I love everything they do, just about to the point of fanboyism. I do not approve however, of that cable replacement they sell...Both cables I have bought from them (the 4 ft model, for the HD558) have torn in the exact same place... just under the earcup... from VERY minimal use, as far as removing and installing goes. I travel maybe 6 times a year, halfway across the country, and i remove the cable when I do... Yet both of those have torn in that SAME spot, right next to the locking end. And WHY? Because it is all soft plastic there, a decision I never understood.Fast forward to buying this cable:I knew when I bought it that it was either going to be great, or a total stinker... And wonder no more, it's a keeper. The braiding is tight and attractive. The terminals are heavy and feel durable. The locking end has a textured hard plastic (maybe aluminum?... not magnetic at all) grip, which makes it easy to install AND remove. They even had the foresight to put springs on the outer terminal end of the cable, to keep pressure off of that area... something that would otherwise will kill a cable good and early. I have NO worries whatsoever, after a few days use, as to whether this cable will hold up for years to come.In short, I could not be more pleasantly surprised. For those wondering, audio quality is indistinguishable from the Sennheiser brand cables. I live in AZ, and the cable arrived in under a week, when the estimate was more like a month. I am sure tha can fluctuate based on time of year and your location. This is definitely the cable you are looking for.P.S.:If I had ONE gripe, it's that the cable wants to curl a bit when you move. I am using it with devices that are close to me however, so it has not posed a problem. If you are someone who stretches out the cord a bit, this may be irritating for you.

A true workhorse replacement
Update:The 1.5m version of this cable has been going for a decade for me. I've moved twice, put an unknown amount of hours on it over the years (10s of thousands of hours per year easily). This thing connected to my Senny 558s have been my most reliable piece that I've ever owned. I've now bought a second cable with an adapter to connect to my bass Amp. Recommended now and forever.Original review:I bought this to replace that ridiculous cable that comes with the Sennheiser 558s. I needed something shorter and something with a smaller 3.5mm end (the 558s cable is huge, almost the size of a Bic lighter). I found these and they seemed good so I bought them.Pros1. 1.5m was a good length. Long enough for use while walking or sitting at the desk, but not so long that you can jump rope with it.2. The sound is fine by my ears. Sounds the same as the cable it replaced with no degradation or improvement. It's a cable doing cable stuff.3. The braided cable feels of high quality.4. There are springs at both ends to help alleviate the pressure of where the cable meets the sleeves for the connectors. I love this.5. Fits in the locking mechanism of the 558s.6. Comes with a 6.5mm adapter in case you still need one. I don't but I like that this cable replaces both connections just in case. Smart thinking. The adapter also screws in so it doesn't have any wiggle.7. The whole thing just feels really high quality. Time will tell if it's durable (obviously), but on the face of it, this thing looks, feels, and acts like a seriously nice cable.Cons1. None so far. I don't like the whole "proprietary locking mechanism" nonsense that Sennheiser uses because it makes these cables more expensive. Other than that, no problems here. Also, the braided cable makes noise that you can hear in the headphones when it rubs up against itself, but that's true for all braided cables so I didn't see the need to make it its own thing. If the cable breaks I'll come back and change the review, but for now it's everything I was hoping it'd be.
