It Works!
What a crazy tool. A stiff wire used to stir peanut butter. But, it works! Just shove it down into the jar and start turning it. It is way easier to use than a spoon or knife. It is thin enough that it churns through the stiff nut butter (I use it for almond butter, which is even stiffer than peanut butter). It doesn't cause the oil on top to slosh out, but just stirs it right in. And in just a minute, you natural peanut butter is well-stirred and completely mixed. And when you are done you just run it through the scraper card that comes with and it cleans right up (you still need to wash it, of course). So - Easy to use. Effective. Way better at the task it is designed for than anything else you would use. Cheap. Easy to clean. It's not something I would have thought of, but I'm really glad that I found it. If you buy or make nut butters, you need this.

Who knew?
This simple little tool is a game changer for me. I eat a lot of peanut butter, and had trouble stirring the natural kind with my tendonitis. Now it’s so easy, and it only takes a couple of minutes. No more slopping the oil over the side of the jar, and the scraper works perfectly.

Best method I've found.
Tested on 16 oz jar of Santa Cruz creamy dark roasted. This is a purpose-built tool that exists for the sole reason of stirring natural peanut butter. That's it. It's pretty light, just an aluminum rod that has been bent into shape. It's not complicated to use. You stick it in and you turn it. You keep turning it. And then you turn it some more. And then your peanut butter is mixed. I've tried all the tricks. Stabbing the peanut butter like a psycho with a knife. Trying to stir it in the jar. Leaving the jar upside down for days. It's all BS. The only other method I know that works is to completely take all the peanut butter out of the jar, mix it with a whisk, and then put it back into the jar. But that's a huge hassle. If you regularly buy these oily peanut butters that need to be stirred, you need this. It really works. Just be aware that you're never going to have the consistency of jif. No tool can compensate for the lack of stabilizers and terrible oils that are added to mainstream commercial peanut butters.

Great tool for Natural Peanut butter fans!
I love the peanut butter that is simply peanuts and salt with no added oils or sugar but the draw back has always been that it separates while sitting on the shelf. No matter what I used spoon, knife or spatula I couldn't get it mixed enough so some parts of the jar would be runny like syrup and other parts would be dry, stiff and hard to spread. And then there's the mess of oil on the counter and the entire outside of the jar. Well no more! This simple tool is perfect. Just the right size to fit in the jar from side to side and top to bottom. It does an amazing job of thoroughly blending the contents of the entire jar. The handy scraper cleans the tool completely leaving all the contents inside the jar so not wasteful and NO MESS at all. I debated spending the money for this simple thing but it is a game changer and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

A Really Good PB Stirrer
I can't believe I waited so long to buy one of these stirrers. I have struggled far too long until I purchased this really good Peanut Butter Stirrer. Where I had been struggling with a butter knife and it REALLY didn't due it much good, this beauty had me using SMOOTH PB in about two minutes with no mess, and no wasted product. If you are a PB junky as I am, I highly recommend getting yourself this great tool.

Not stainless steel
Works great until the aluminum oxidizes and gets fuzzy after a year or two. Then black residue on top of the jar afterwards. Would buy again only if made of stainless steel.

Works great!
This is such a great idea. It really works well. Even the little black scraper to clean it off.

Made of Aluminum! Messy! Awkward to Use!
I had high hopes. This product is bad on so many levels:1. It's made of Aluminum. I don't care what the FDA says - Aluminum is not safe for food.2. Must be washed before use. I forgot (or didn't read directions). I noticed my fingers were black after stirring a jar of peanut butter. That's when I realized it was made of Aluminum. Had to throw away the whole jar of peanut butter.3. Awkward and difficult to use. Trying to turn it without spilling peanut butter over the sides of the jar is futile. Takes a lot of effort to turn handle and hold jar.4. It doesn't even do a good job of stirring. Leaves large chunks that need to be broken up by lifting and lowering the stirrer into the jar repeatedly. This causes peanut butter to spill over side.Just horrible design. Threw it in the garbage. Going to buy the Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Stirrer from Lehman's. It's made from stainless steel and has a lid to keep the peanut butter in the jar.
