Works perfectly
Ordered this little guy upon discovering that the record player I got from a buddy of mine is super quiet and after some Google-fu realized I needed a preamp. Of course, I'm not the kind of guy to buy the cheapest option on Amazon, so I bought the second cheapest. This thing is really, really tiny which is great because it doesn't take up much space on my already cluttered entertainment center. Plugged in the RCA cables, secured the ground wire under the lil screw thingy, then grabbed a RCA to aux cable and hooked into the soundbar/sub and turned it on. Worked instantly. Currently listening to Pure Heroine by Lorde because I'm a manly man and the sound is nice and warm but crisp. No fuzz or noise or extra nonsense, very clean wonderful sound. And now I can be pretentious and talk about how I only listen to my three records on vinyl because something something analog warmth something. Really though, this works literally exactly as described so I'd definitely recommend. We'll see how it holds up but for now it's facilitating jams very well. Five and a half stars.

Perfect...for now!
After 40 years of sitting in a box, I finally pulled out my old record player, bought a new belt for the drive (only $8 on Amazon!) and plugged the RCA left/right connectors to my AUX input on my receiver. FAIL!!!! I had to turn the volume up to max to barely hear the sound! Then I remembered - DUH! - old receivers/amps had a "phono" input which included a built-in pre-amp to boost the weak signal from the phonograph. The AUX/Tape/etc inputs do NOT have a pre-amp. Scrambling around on the internet I found an exhaustingly huge number of products that would work, with very confusing, often contradictory ratings from users. So I bit the bullet, chose this one which was a decent compromise between positive/negative reviews and cost, and am very happy - so far. Worked out of the box - includes the AC/DC adapter and an on/off switch. You will need another set of RCA cables, but I had a box full in my garage! If I continue to listen to vinyl records often I will likely upgrade to a higher quality pre-amp - in the $300 - $500 range - but this satisfied my urge to break out the box of old records and start listening again! I've only had it for 3 days, so if it breaks soon, I will update this review.

Does the job without any hiccups!
Great little unit that can easily be hidden. Easy to set up and simple to use, just plug in and play. Visible power light and cool Go Groove design on the top. The only reason I gave a 4 star is because I didn't like that there is no power turn on/off switch. It stays on unless you physically unplug it. Otherwise, visually appealing and sounds great. I have it plugged in to a Harbinger powered speaker and it sounds great! I didn't notice any unusual noise or feedback produced from the unit.

Worth the money! Choose this one.
I was using a different name brand preamp but the input level it produced was much lower than when using TV or streaming devices. I thought that a preamp with adjustable settings might solve the problem. I found the GOgroove preamp on Amazon and it seemed to have everything needed to get the job done. Ordered and arrived the next day. The unit is quite heavy for its size. Solidly built and easy to hook up. It even looks good enough to have out on display. It works beautifully. No hum or background noise of any kind and now my phono input is as hot as needed and more.

Used for PC Gaming
First pre-amp that ive ever bought so take my review with a large grain of saltines. I have been using "gaming" headsets for my entire life and got entirely fed up with my astro a50s always disconnecting and causing problems (new work headset now) and bought myself a pair of AT 50mxbt2s, and after playing around with it for a while i actually enjoy it quite a lot. I wanted something that had physical knobs instead of a digital eq, they work pretty good. I'm barely pushing this since these headphones arent really all that powerful i suppose but i can say that they sound a lot better at 16% pc volume with only like 3 tics on input gain and monitor level than they did at 100% pc volume directly connected. Didnt realize these things had as much bass as i can feel now listening to music. I mostly play tarkov and league and didnt like how i felt the game before. if youre also thinking of these for a PC connection ask me some questions!

The Missing Bottom End is Real
I wanted to try an external amp for my Audio Technica AT-LP60 turntable, which has a built-in preamp with the option to bypass it, to see if I could improve the sound quality. The turntable's preamp sounds muffled. There's no brightness or clarity to it. So, I decided to try out this GOgroove preamp. Heck, it was only $28, so why not? I read plenty of reviews, and a lot were stating the thing lacked bass and midrange. I figured I could overcompensate by boosting the entire left side of the EQ on my Denon receiver. Yeah... no. That didn't even put a dent in the missing low end. My subwoofer is usually set to -2. I ramped that up to +10 and the bass barely came back, but the lower midrange was still completely gone. On the bright side... yeah, this thing is bright. It definitely has clarity to the sound. It sounds good, other than the missing bass. But the signal is not very loud. I have to crank the volume up another 10 clicks to equal my CD, blu-ray and USB inputs. This GOgroove was worth a try, but I'll be looking for another mini phono amp.

A happy accident!!
I bought this by accident :-D I was searching preamps so I could try configuring a Bluetooth setup for a traditional turntable as a gift for a friend. I saw this one, put it in my basket so as not too loose track of it, and continued searching. After many many minutes, I settled on a different device, put it and some other stuff in and placed my order. The other preamp arrives, the Bluetooth thing works well though the sound was low but I thought "fine, least it works". Then two days later they Go Groove arrives and I was like darn it I forgot to take it out of my cart! I was going to return it but the weight of it made me wonder- it's heavier, will it sound better? Crazy illogical thought right? Glad I listened because it is a superior device!!

Value for money would give 7/5 if I could! Speakers from turntable and great headphone amp

I restored an old record changer, and the low end output was terrible, probably because it's 50 or so years old. This preamp makes it sound like new. The equalizer is a great feature too, everything sounds warm and beefy. I highly recommend it for anyone who likes older hi-fi equipment.

I find a built-in phono amp just not sufficient, but the GoGroove pre amp pro with EQ solved that problem. Gave me the EQ precision I needed to listen to vinyl just how I (or anyone) wants to listen. Worth the money and it looks right sharp as an accessory. Hey also, their customer service is A1 as well! "I tells it as I sees it" Sincerley, CA MacKinnon Montreal, Canada

Great little box preamp; impressive quality. All my vinyl records came back to life. The sound is pretty close to digital; unbelievable. I used the box with Audiotechnica AT-LP120 (removed to original preamp) and 80s AKAI amp. Use the pream on amp line-in, you get better sound. Happy to have it.
