Update: a new one was sent and works wonderfully.When I got the curling iron, I plugged it in and set the temperature only to come back later and it still says 175. I touched the iron itself and it hadn’t even warmed up at all. I waited and waited and it would never get warm. They sent me a broken one.

When I opened it, I thought the wand part was extremely long... but my daughter has hair down to her waist and won't hold a curl. We used this on her hair, and the length of the wand was perfect for her long hair, and the curl held in her hair for days! It heats up quickly and you can select the temperature. It also has automatic shut off which is nice. It was a great value for the price.

The curling iron is ceramic and has several settings which is the reason I ordered it. I like the lighted settings, easy to read. The only fault I have is the barrel is a little long for my short hair.

**Update** Received a new one that works great, could have been a defective one I got the first time. Thanks to the seller for resolving this issue!!Could have been a great curling iron, major problem with this is when you try to twist and roll your hair in the curl iron the end with cord is not loose. The cord is super thick which makes mobility very difficult. It is super hard to twist this and actually roll your hair in this curl iron. This is a waste of money completely, I would legit not suggest this to anyone. I seen some good reviews there might be a chance I got a defective one but I think it’s the design.

I would love to return this one also. Sad part is that I can't return it now that it is defective - it's after the one month time limit for returns. The first one was returned because the blue coating on the barrel started coming off. I thought it was defective and decided to try it again. Received it in May but didn't use it very much due to the virus and not going anywhere. Started using it in June more and the blue coating is coming off the barrel again. I liked the size, temperature, and style of the iron but it's not worth having if it is defective after starting to use it more regularly (2 or 3 times a week). I don't need the coating on the barrel to come off in my hair and if there is bare spots on the barrel, my hair is not protected. My suggestion is not to waste your time and money on this one.

Would have loved to give 5 stars because it does curl my hair great and the curls last, it heats up nice and quick. However shortly after I got it mid curling it stopped working wouldn’t turn on at first thought maybe the outlet but it wasn’t. My Bf took it apart and found that the connecting wires where cord connects and swivels came off the soldered part so he was able to re-solder it for me YAY! Worked for a while then did same thing…. He looked at it again turns out came apart at a different connecting point this happened 4 times after that I said forget it!

This is my 3 rd one I. A year I do use it often but not every day but the cord shorts out after a while but I love this iron it does my hair so good!! So I will just throw it away and get a new one when it shorts out on me!! I get my moneys worth!’
