This thing is an effective splitting maul and works great. It has good quality construction and shows no signs of wear for me. It is going to be one of my favorites for a long time.

I use this to finish off little stumps in my back yard. A little crude but it does the job. Mine came pretty sharp so no additional sharpening yet. The protector over the metal blade is good to keep it secure. I’ve also used this to dig up roots where they shouldn’t be. This is a handy tool to have around the house. The quality is strong and I’d rather have this than a wooden axe because the wood ones tend to break on me. Remember to wear gloves to avoid blisters if you’re going to use it for a tough job.

Solid maul, splits well and the handle holds up better than oak. Ergonomic grip, nice head shape that splits harder and faster. More splits per hit ratio on this guy for sure. Would recommend!Granted the picture shows it was used to split a ~10” birch trunk, so yeah it does that well too. This is for the 36” handle 4.5lb maul. I did sharpen it up a bit before use, as I would with any axe/hatchet after purchase

I purchased this hatchet to take camping so I could split fire wood. Keep in mind, the wood (dry seasoned logs) usually halved, so not too hard to split. Comparing this hatchet to other lighter (2 lbs or less) hatchets I’ve used, the extra weight on this one is evident and appreciated. I would recommend sharpening prior to use, but it will work regardless out of the box. The only negative thing I can say is that it would have been great (5 star worthy) had it come with a sheath. It does come with a plastic blade guard that will last a while, but I chose to purchase a sheath. So, while the price was great, if you want a sheath, the cost of one offsets the great value of the hatchet, but it’s still less expensive than others that aren’t rated as well.

This ax is well made, and works great. The blade is sharp and splits wood easily.

This axe is amazing! We replaced our old axe with this new one and it slices through wood like a hot knife through butter. I would absolutely recommend this axe. The grip is very nice, good materials used, and the entire axe is made to last.

There are multiple reviews of these being questionable camp axes. They are wrong. These are great axes that perform amazing. They are shipped sharp and hold their edge. They are the perfect mid length to swing. I am very pleased and would highly recommend.
