Nice topwater lure
Nice topwater frog lure, these are about 1/2 oz. Great for working vegetation where no other lure can go. Just be aware that you will get some take downs that do not hook up. Being the most snag proof lure of all time does make it hard to hook the fish, but when you do, hold on for the ride!

Good lure, but modifying it makes it much better
Tried the lure stock and kept getting missed strikes. This was frustrating and after a few simple modifications the lure Is a winner.1) Trim the skirt down to two inches. (Why?) Because the skirt is too long and the fish strikes the skirt not the body.2) Add a few stripes on the belly of the frog with a sharpie here and there to match the hatch. (Why?) It gives the frog a more realistic look.3) Bend both hooks slight upwards (1-2mm) away from the body of the frog. (Why?) The stock positioning of the hooks is too horizontal to the body of the frog. When the fish strikes the body of the frog. The fish realizes that it’s not real and immediately spits the frog out and the hooks don’t catch the top of its mouth. By bending them slightly upwards, they catch the roof of its mouth and the fish is on. * Note, this also slight increase the lure getting caught up in heavy weed, so be mindful if this and use a heavier line or braid line.

A Great Frog
It's been a while since I bought this frog and it had kind of fallen to the back of the box, so to speak. My apology and my loss until lately.Let me start with I'm a bank fisherman and I'm retired "I fish, therefore I am".About 2 weeks ago, I started fishing a very shallow area of reeds, trees, heavy grass, with pockets here, some real trash, with a different frog. LONG casts.I was getting strike after strike but miss after miss. The frog I was using casts like no other frog I have but it has a somewhat tough body and some very heavy duty hooks.. Different review.I thought a softer body might help.I had thrown a Booyah in my bag that day and tied it to my 12 strand 50 lb braid with a 10 turn double uni knot and tossed it as far into that stand of flooded trees as a I could from about 35-40 yards. Yes, it casts pretty darned well.I got lucky and dropped it right on a fish's nose. The pocket exploded but this fish held on due to that softer Booyah body, he ate his lunch, and I nailed it to the roof of its mouth. You know what I mean if you fish frogs. I hooked and landed 3 more in the next half hour, all casting from the same spot on the bank. Missed 3 others. 4-7. Booyah! That frog has been tied to my line every day since then for about 2-3 hours of broad daylight frogging, producing at least one 3-5lb fish every one of those days of throwing it into the nasties. It isn't coming off that rod until November, except for a new knot now and again.

Best top water frog
Fished this recently when there wasn't much underwater action happening. Worked across lily pads and caught about 8 decent bass in handful of hours. Doesn't snag on weeds, doesn't fill with water easily, and is fun to work. The body is soft enough for easier hookups (compared to others I've used).

Best frogs period
I’m always frog fishing for largemouth in the summer and these pad crashers are by far the best I’ve ever tried. Good weight for long casting but doesn’t get caught up in the heavy muck. Stout sharp hooks that never straighten. Nice and watertight so you don’t need to squeeze it out every cast. These are the best period.
