This is the best, it is built strong, although I wish the carry handle were stronger, but that is a problem for every one of these no matter what brand.This uses bolts and nuts to hold it together so this is very strong and will last a long time. The door is very solid and has good weight to it. The metal bars provide the most ventilation and ability for your car to see out from. This is a good size too, it should easily hold from my smallest to largest cats. My large cats are not those ones you need two arms to hold because they are huge. I would recommend something much bigger for those huge cats. I mean large heavy tabby cats like a Garfield cat would easily fit in this, and have plenty of room to stand and move around with.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I decided it was time to get a cat carrier that opens from the top as well after struggling to get my cat out of the front entrance of the carrier I had previously when we were at the vet. I went with this carrier since the price was reasonable. It was very easy to assemble in about 5 minutes (and I'm usually terrible at assembling things). I've only used it once taking my cat to the vet but so far it seems sturdy, and the top opening makes getting my cat in and our much easier.

Bought this travel carrier for my cats for when I bring them to the vet. It is a very sturdy and safe option for them that is also affordable which I appreciate. It is somewhat roomy inside, at least for a smaller cat, but some cats might have a little less easier time. Easy to carry as well. The carrier also has a top door which is super helpful for ease of access for me or the cat.

The quality seems a little bit cheap compared to the other dog carriers I’ve bought for the same price, this one feels like you could fold it in half with your hands. However it does hold up pretty well and stack easily, it has little plastic pieces that you can use to tie them together. Overall this is an okay carrier if you are on a budget and aren’t traveling on a plane. The dog on top is 6 pounds and the dog on the bottom is 9 pounds.

I bought two of these pet carriers and I am very pleased. They are just as pictured. I did read the reviews and will comment accordingly.They were very easy to put together. Each only took a few minutes and I did not even need the instructions. I read one review that mentioned common sense, and yes, that is all it takes.I did choose to use the screws, as I have one big cat and the other one is anxious and has broken out of a previous carrier before, which is why I chose a more solid one this time. A break out won’t happen in this one.To insert the screws, just turn the carrier upside down. The nut can be put in place and the screws can easily be tightened. I saw a review complain that a screwdriver is needed. But seriously, who doesn’t have a screwdriver? However, I could tighten the screws enough by hand that I could have left it that way and had it be good enough. I did choose to finish tightening it with a screwdriver though.The top opening works well, you just have to turn the flaps up (which unlocks it) before you pull them forward to open it. Then reverse that, to close it. You could do that one side at a time to make it easier if needed.Overall, I am glad I chose these carriers. I will buy again if I need more in the future and would recommend these to others.I will be adding some sort of padding/bed to it for added pet comfort and so that they don’t slip and slide on the plastic.For dogs, I could put my (not small) chihuahua in it with plenty of room, but I would not choose to smoosh my larger-sized Frenchie in it.

Easy to assemble, sturdy, and secure. Cats haven't had any issues with it, nice and roomy for the average sized cat. Metal door is easy to pinch to open (I have arthritis and dont have any issues with it). The top also separates from the bottom though, if you need it. Overall very happy with this carrier, especially for the money spent.

Easy to assemble. I definitely recommend for small pets that are weary of crates because the top comes off and you can just drop them in. It’s also nice for pets that do not do well at the vet because the doctor can just give shots from the top without getting them out. Holds a decent amount of weight. Easy to see your pet from the front view.
