So amazing! I never understood the excitement around acrylic gouache but turns out it’s not just hype. The flow, the way they act like watercolor but dry permanent.Honestly I think turner brand better that the other more popular brand from Japan for acrylic gouache in particular. Even if they were not less expensive I would choose them every time. Beautiful set of paint worth every penny!Try a small set and you will be blown away! It’s not something that is easy to describe but it’s definitely something worth exploring.

Really great quality. If you need a budget friendly gouache (not winsor and newton designer or holbein prices) but want a quality you can make serious art I recommend this gouache. Smooth and vibrant colors

I bought this a long time ago, and had read some glowing reviews about it, and some complaining it was terrible and streaky, and wondered what the difference was. I swatched it and it was indeed streaky, even after multiple coats. I'm pretty sure I was over diluting them. The recommended ratio is 2 parts paint, 1 part water, and I was dropping a brush full of water into the paint like twice, mixing, then using a soaking wet brush on top of that to grab the paint. It was so transparent and streaky, even with multiple coats that I was so disappointed I didn't pick them back up for a number of months. Recently I decided to give them another quick try, and I only used the water that was on the brush to dilute them this time, and they came out perfectly beautiful, opaque and flat. Just saying if you have tried to use this and found it aggravating, maybe try changing the amount of water you're painting with. Hope this helps! 😊

Used, slight damage to pack, all colors intact. Great color selection, starter kit. Color is saturated, brilliant, Matt opaque coverage. Buy a large tube of white- you will need it.

I recently wrote a review of these Turner Acrylic gouache paints, the 36 tube set, and my review showed up as a review of a different product. I deleted it and will try again. I regret this purchase, particularly my poor decision to buy such a large set ($$). I have used Turner designers gouache for a long time, lovely quality and colors. I thought this product would be as good. They are acrylics with a matte finish, not real gouache, which I knew. A lot of the colors are kind of thin, don't cover well. Also, colors are weird, not like usual American or other shades. You can't buy a 12 tube set of these to get the basic colors which can be mixed for other colors. You need to buy a large set, and then you have a lot of colors that are almost the same, so it's a waste either way, depending, of course, on what you want.
