49mm Lens Hood Set Lens Shade Compatible with Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens Replaces Canon ES-68 Hood, Collapsible Rubber Lens Hood + Reversible Tulip Flower Lens Hood + Center Pinch Lens Cap

This kit is exactly what I wanted. I bought this hood set for the Meike 25/1.8 manual lens which doesn't include a hood or bayonet mount. This screws into the 49mm thread and the snap-on hard hood (I didn't plan to use since I'm used to the rubber hood for most of these manual lenses) really surprised me. It works, it can take a little fiddling to get the spring-detents to engage but this works as well as the stock bayonet hoods on OEM lenses. So, that is what is mounted on the 25/1.8 leaving a rubber hood for the off case of shooting from planes/windows which I often do.

Given the low price, I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality of these lens hoods, especially the petal hood which has a heavy, solid feel to it! The mounting threads of both hoods are metal and seem robust, too. Great item!

The media could not be loaded. I bought these because we have a lot of Sun where I live. The only reason I didn’t give 5 starts is because the lens cap doesn’t stay at all. Maybe I got a defective one but the lens hoods work perfect and as they should.

This is a very versatile set of lens hoods. Works GREAT! .... and comes with a great lens cap too! Much better cap than other cheap bundles. I was able to track down the Waka unique cap bundle of 3 and order to verify it was the same (or equivalent cap). You won't be dissappointed in these Hoods!!

When rubber is retracted and wanted to use the lens as a wide angle, the ruber blocks the focusing motor, so the lens can't go in deep enough causing a huge strees in the step motor.

Good material and good price for a set. All this in other brand cost the triple.

I like the tulip and the cap strap. The rubber hood doesn't work as doesn't allow the canon 50mm 1.8 prime lens to fully retract for focusing and therefore it is worthless. Also the cap is just kinda lame and doesn't fit all that well.
