I was whining to my friend about how soft toothbrushes like the Oral B and others aren't soft enough. I'm still wearing away gum tissue and creating ridges in some of my teeth. She said her dentist recommends holding your toothbrush with only 2 fingers--the thumb and index--because then the correct amount of pressure will be applied. That's all you need to brush away tartar! He also recommends the Nimbus Extra Soft because it is truly soft. Between the 2-finger advice and using the Nimbus (and a water pick at a low setting--2 or 3--vs always using dental tape), I've had no more gum loss and no more gum pain. I also like that the head is compact. It IS a smidge thick for my preference, such that I seem to have less mobility when brushing the backs of my teeth, but the shortness allows it to still be effective. The handle is also not too thick or thin (I sound like Goldilocks!), which is great for arthritic hands. I only wish I could choose the color I want. But hey, that's a small price to pay for this nearly perfect toothbrush!

This is a really nice little toothbrush. I have to have soft toothbrushes because I brush so hard it pushes back my gums. So, this really fits the bill. Would buy again.

Simply the best and most effective tooth brush I've every used! Originally got the Nimbus as a sample from the dentist. First few times I used it my gums were "tingling" after brushing. Most of all I noticed a very smooth and whiter surface to my teeth. The bristles are amazingly soft and comfortable! I've wasted $$ on expensive electric brushes that were suppose to "get under the gum line" for a more effective cleaning. Not anymore! This simple, effective design makes the Nimbus the ultimate toothbrush! I know it's ridiculous to get excited over a toothbrush, but it's that good....

i have been using this brush and i'm happy with it. it feels soft and gentle, yet my teeth feel incredibly clean after use. not sure that it goes through the teeth though, i still have to floss.

I cant even compare this Toothbrush to any others i have used,this is super soft and i was just reading a magazine that said the softer the brush the better well this would be the one,its feather soft but gets into those hard to reach areas and easy on the gums i cant find this toothbrush anywhere so i am glad i found this on Amazon ,i never want any other toothbrush but this one for myself and family, if you have sensitive teeth or bonding i recommend this .If you don't have problems with your teeth i would still recommend Nimbus who also has children's size too!

Your first few uses with this toothbrush will hurt your gums. Don't give up! You will get used to using it and soon you will not have any pain after use. It is indeed the softest toothbrush and yet a toothbrush that does the BEST cleaning. It was invented by a periodontist who did not want people with new gum grafts to traumatize their gums. This toothbrush is great for people who are sick of the common toothbrush with the hard bristles. Bristles are super soft. Try it! You will like it!

Yes, that’s right: I love my Plotka toothbrush but I couldn’t stand looking at the circus colors on my bathroom counter! So when I found this I was so excited. After using it for weeks, I have to say, it’s a pretty toothbrush but it incredibly soft and not FIRM so it takes me too much time and effort to get a good and thorough clean. The handle offers comfortable grip. Again, the color and design is nice. As far as the brush head, it is standard in size but thick at the tip and wish I’d purchased the childrens size to reach far back behind my wisdom teeth. After sanitizing it well, this brush will make for a gentle jewelery cleaner brush.

For a manual brush I have found these to be the best I have bought so far. The price seems about average really since most stores sell brushes far inferior to this model for even more expensive prices. I started on these after my last checkup and when I go back in a few months I will see if they notice anything before I explain that I switched out my old Oral B extra soft brush for a Nimbus. Nimbus feels strange at first almost a tickling sensation really, but that will quickly subside within a few days. I have purchased the "Large" model of the Nimbus and I find it could possibly not get in every area of the mouth due to its great size so I bought this "Compact" as well to reinforce the Large model. Using Nimbus manual brushes in conjunction with a reputable electric brush like a Rota-Dent twice a day plus a daily flossing regimen should keep things healthy.
