Basic film cutter
So, I was looking for a way to cut 35mm film strips after developing. This does a pretty good job with that, just a couple of minor things would make it better. It is a little hard to see where the frame lines are. I suppose maybe this is meant to be used on a light table as it has the clear plastic on the top and bottom. However, it would be really nice if there was a light inside of it. Also, the cuts are pretty straight, but not 100%.Way easier to use this tool than just manually cut the film with a pair of scissors, which is what I was doing before.

Using this for a year some thoughts
After a year of use, I found it's difficult for the roller to advance a lot of frames. I usually get enough through so I can grip the edge and pull the film through without the rollers. Also, I found that instead of pushing the cutter straight down, you put a little pressure left+down at the same time, it cuts better. as if you were using a slightly dull pair of scissors, pushing the two blades together while cutting does a better job.All in all, after a year it's still working so a decent purchase. If the blades get too dull I will definitely buy another.

It's only fine, not great
How hard is it to make a high-quality product? Apparently nearly impossible. It does the job ok, the hash marks are great for lining up where to splice, and the guillotine cutter does a great job of slicing through my 35mm negs. The frame advance works fine most of the time. But, like more modern-day products, you're left with a kind of cheap feeling tool that meets the bare minimum requirements, nothing more. A plastic object, well designed, but not made for excellence, made for profit. I'll get use from it, but this is like the cheap plastic point-and-shoot camera version of a film tool, not a classic piece. Lomo, I hope you're reading this. Make a better tool for us, please.

Not great :(
The cutter worked great for some time, but the rollers quickly lost their grip, which required pulling from the opposite side, and the blade lost its edge. Now, unless I slam it, it won’t cut through. What’s worse, if it doesn’t cut through, it will scratch the film horribly. Invest in your gear and get something better for your film. There’s no clear way to take it apart either so I’m not sure how to fix these problems.

Good product
I used to dread cutting negatives into strips to sleeve them. After cutting through many many film frames and destroying them, I finally bought this little device. It made the job a pleasure. It works great on 35mm and medium format films. Very happy to have bought this. Highly recommend to film shooters.
