Awesome garage lighting solution.
I love these super bright LED garage lights and have them installed all over my garage. They are super bright and can be linked in series very easily. The lights are a tremendous value for how bright they are, how little energy they use, and how many are included for the price. They are easy to install with the included hardware and include various wiring connections for either a wall plug outlet or to hardwire. I also use these lights in my closet, crawlspace, and attic. Would make a great gift for the handyman in your life.

bright idea
these shop lights are so slim and light weight but they pack a real punch just be aware this is an integrated system there is only 1 switch as they connect to each other however you can get a pkg of switches that will allow you to run each one separately i am using them in separate locations like closets porches etc they are hands down the best value i have ever found and the installation is beyond easy

Easy Peasy Installation - Huge Improvement
I used two lights in the corner of our garage where I have a work bench for task lighting. The remaining four replaced four fluorescents as general lighting in the garage. The first picture shows the corner task light connection detail where I coiled the 20" wire for neatness. The second is overall task light, and the last is the general lighting in the garage. Pros: - Insanely easy to install - Each bulb is brighter than the fluorescent it replaced - Each bulb is only 22 W vs 40 W for the fluorescent (about half the energy use) - Lots of flexibility with installation options - Packaging was simple with near-zero waste materials Cons (all small potatoes) - The stripped ends of the direct-wiring connectors were too short for the heavy gauge wires connecting to. - Better if the package contained four direct-connectors instead of two. Each bulb is as light as a feather, so take advantage of that. Use only two mounting brackets per clamp (even though three are provided) and skip the drywall plastic reinforcing sleeve and screw directly into the drywall. Just be careful not to over torque and strip out the hole. With only two brackets you're not fighting to align the third and the lights snap in fast and easy. The brackets are plenty strong for this job. You have the option of wiring to a switch (which I did with the overhead lights) or using a switched cord connected to an outlet (corner task lighting). The lights can be daisy-chained in series either by a 12" flexible cord or via a tiny connector if you want to mount them in a straight line. The package contains two direct wiring connectors, six switched cords, five 12" flex connectors, and six tiny in-line connectors. The fit and finish of all parts were perfect. They even include a tiny triangular cover plate so the end of the last light in the daisy chain doesn't have exposed "hot" conductors. Highly recommended. Great product, great price, and quick delivery.

Great lights, mounting clips are useless
Purchased to replace a couple of fluorescent light fixtures which failing in my unfinished basement. Candidly for $30 or so for 6 of these lights, it is hard to find fault because there are also multiple installation, options such is simply plug in to a receptacle or do a hard wire installation. I did both options. Th hard wire required me to trim back some of the sheathing and so be aware, however with the right tools, no issue. My biggest issue is that the mounting clips are useless. Cheap and thin metal that bends too easily thus not allowing a secure mounting. Another reviewer agreed with that and used zip ties and that is what I did. I purchased some 12" zip ties, drilled two holes for each of the lights at the bottom (1/2") of those joists, fed in the zip tie just to the point of connecting and then inserted the light between the two ties and then tightened. Easy. May not look so great, however unfinished basement. Function was priority. Super bright lights, Initially purchased a 6 pack, then placed a second order for another 6 pack. I now have four separate installations of three joined lights in my basement. Would have given this product a 5 rating other than for those useless mounting clips or buttons as they are referred to.. No idea on longevity. Too soon to know. However for essentially $5 for each light, I'm not expecting perfection.

Avoid. This brand has a horrible track record with durability and life span.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I've used the brand in the past, and had good luck with them Lifespan: This is where I have an issue. Lights bought and installed in 2021, in a detached garage that's used for storage. Lights are wired to a motion controlled sensor switch INSIDE the garage. This is an important distinction. The lights only come on when someone opens the garage door and enters. They go off after it stops detecting motion. In short, the lights aren't on constantly or left on after I leave the garage. Again, bought and installed in 2021... In 2023, I noticed a couple of the lights had failing diode banks or some of the soldered wired connections were coming loose. It was only a couple of sections on a couple of lights, so I didn't think too much about it. It can happen. Fast forward to the end of 2024, and now over half the lights are out, or in the process of failing. Again, these aren't on all the time, or left on after use. We're talking about, liberally, and hour a week, if you add it up. So there's no reason for any of these to be close to end of life, yet they are dead. I'd like to say this is a fluke, as I have installed Hylokity products numerous times in the past. However, this is been far too common with this brand, and their products in 2020-2021. I had to replace 3 sets of recessed lighting of their's that I installed in 20-21. Also a few flood lights as well. All of them failed prematurely. I have avoided the brand ever since then. Fair warning.
