Great for changing hydroponics resevoirs
The media could not be loaded. The standard norm for hydroponics systems is to use either a submersible or inline pump for water extractions when it comes time to change the resevoir. I can speak first hand as being one of those that hardly changed out their resevoir because it was a messy, pain in the a**. I would wait until salt started to build up and go grab my buckets, tubing and submersible pump. When my submersible quit working I started looking for an inline pump. So I start looking around and came across a post talking about this turbo pump wand. Once I saw how it worked I knew it was exactly what I was looking for. All one unit, no power cords and no mess. The amount of liquid this thing transfers is amazing. A five gallon transfer took less than two minutes(I have a timer on my grow light)and I was done with everything in ten. Would've been quicker but I had all my buckets filled with new solution so I had to use 1 gallon jugs to empty them out. The only thing I could see being an issue is making sure the hose is clear before removing it. Other than that, this thing rocks. I want to syphon other stuff now. Bird baths, bathtubs or maybe my neighbors pond. The wand is lightweight, easy to use and convenient to have around. I'll be using this regularly and if it breaks, I'm buying another.

Works Great, and Very Easy to Use
I purchased this several months ago, but just today used it for the first time. Winter is over, so I used it to transfer the gas in my snow blower over to my lawn mower. I wasn't expecting it to be as easy as it was. It also took only about 5-10 seconds to transfer the gas, which was probably about a quart. The claim that it transfers 2.5 gallons per minute seems correct.Prior to using the pump, I would use a turkey baster to remove the gas, putting it into a glass jar, then transferring it from the jar. That took considerable more time, and you always spill some this way. With the pump, it is very fast, and no spillage at all.So I will also be using this to transfer gas from 5 gallon cans to my lawn equipment and generator. The big advantage of this, in addition to speed, is that you won't get the overflows when manually pouring from a can into a small tank.It is recommended to clean the pump afterwards, which is done by filling a 5 gallon pail with water, with a little dish soap in it, then using the pump to empty the pail. I would also recommend doing this the first time you receive the pump, not to clean it, but just to see how it works. It is recommended to store the pump vertically. I hang it that way in the garage. The pump uses 3 AA batteries. I use high quality (e.g Duracell or Panasonic eneloop) rechargeable batteries for everything, rather than alkaline batteries, and also a smart charger. I suspect that claims of the pump being too slow are due to weak or cheap batteries.I would highly recommend this pump. If it fails in the future, I will update this review.

FINALLY A PUMP THAT WORKS
This is the fifth battery operated pump I have purchased. One didn't work at all, one died after the first use, one leaked like a sieve and the other leaked and had an on/off switch that did not work. This one uses 3 AAA batteries and pumps fast. The hose is much longer than the others and I can actually add fuel to my car with the gas can on the ground rather than elevated on a table. My one and only complaint is that there is a wire that runs through the hose that acts as a shut off sensor. There is some kind of gizmo on the end of the hose that is supposed to (I guess) hold it in the gas tank fill tube that holds it at an odd angle and the shut off sensor gets triggered. So you have to hold the hose slightly out of the fuel nozzle hole. Not a big deal but kind of a pain in the ass. Quality of the unit is superior to the others. I will use this a lot as we get up to a dollar a gallon discount at Krogers (limit 35 gal.) so when the cars are filled I use 5 gallon cans to take advantage of all the gas I can get at that price. The pump will pay for itself in a few weeks... I'll update my report if I have any problems... But the bottom line is that this pump is much better than the other four..

GREAT FOR FILLING GAS TANKS ON BOAT AND SMALL ENGINES-NEED A REPLACEMENT PART
I love this pump. I own a boat and I store it in my personal slip at my waterfront dock. I fill my boat gas tank using 5 gal gas containers sequentially until my tank is full. With the newly designed gas "cans" I was continually spilling gas in the lake and it was difficult to manhandle the gas can to fill up my boat. The Turbo Pump now makes this a simple task along with filling up my many small engines on lawn equipment. Unfortunately, I have lost the small tip on the suction end of the pump (photo). I have been unable to request ordering and paying for a replacement part through either Amazon or Ontel. Writing this in hopes of getting assistance in ordering that part.******UPDATE I finally found a number to call and, after explaining the situation and asking only to order and pay for my missing part, the Amazon rep very graciously offered to replace my pump since there did not seem to be a way to just get the part. THANKS AMAZON!!

Review for fish tanks
This is the best. I have a Fluval 406 and it leaks, due to the cost of these filters I didn't want to replace it because it still technically works... I stuck it in a Home Depot bucket and every 10 or so days I have to empty the bucket it sits in. This saved me so much time. It sucked the home depot bucket dry with the Fluval inside in like 3 minutes putting the water right back into the 40 gallon tank. I wish I bought it sooner. This thing is great! If it lasts at least a year its worth every penny. Would buy again.Edit. This just helped me with a sump failure. This thing is LEGIT. It kept clogging from the nasty water but banging it on the side of the bucket made it work again. Buying another soon to keep around as a spare. I LOVE this thing. Great buy 100% recommend.
