S&B Layu, Chili Oil, 1.11 fl oz

This is some delicious chili oil. It looks, tastes, and smells exactly as expected. The heat is what you would expect from Asian chili oil (it’s not fire, but I only used a few drops). Even though it comes in a smaller bottle, it packs a mighty punch, so I think it will last a long time, so I think it is a great value. It also has a nice top that prevents spills by allowing you to press down for how much you want, which is a plus. Usually I make a mess with, but not this time! Lol I made dipping sauce for my gyoza using this oil, rice vinegar, low-sodium soy sauce, a pinch of sugar, and some sesame seeds. Quick and yummy. I highly recommend.

I was hoping this would taste good (1st time ordering) and not only is it good, it's fabulously delicious! I used it on "Chapagetti Noodles and oh my gosh, it gave it that certain something I felt was missing. I'm not much of a cook so it's hard to describe taste in details, all I can say is it's the best chili oil I've ever tasted. The other nice thing about the bottling of this oil is you can use a drop at a time; thus if it's not spicy enough, just add more.

I've tried so many different brands of chili oil, and always crawl my way back to this. No other brand I've found has the delicious sesame flavor and heat level that this brand has. Great value for the money - this little bottle will last you a while, even if you use it every day. It's great to add into cooking, and easy to use with the little press button to release the oil. I always have some leakage when I first open the bottle, but usually once the flip top is screwed into place, this leaks far less than any other oil bottle. This is likely the only oil I'll buy for the rest of my life, now that I've convinced myself that others don't hold a candle.

Cute and functional little dispenser bottle; however, the oil inside is not very hot at all. I could barely detect that there was even chili within the oil. I went ahead and added a couple of Thai bird peppers in there, and that actually works to spice it up works to spice it up (and they seem to be preserved by the oil, so they don't really get nasty in there). The oil has a nice flavor, and is really good LIGHTLY used on things like raw cabbage with black sesame seed and seaweed flakes. Also great to season fish skin (eg, trout, salmon, sea bass) before microwaving into chips between parchment.

This Asian hot oil is good as I have ordered more. It has a toasted aroma and is hot but not too hot. The bottle it comes with leaks when pouring so I am transferring it to an old soy sauce bottle. The price is a bit high and the bottle isn't good but the oil is.

I add this to anything that needs a little bit of chili heat to it.It's very easy to use.Just add a couple drops as needed, be it a hot or cold dish.The flavor is very good.Try this in soups, ramen, noodles, etc.It's also very good at spicing up take out when it feels a bit bland.This does not last long in my house, and I am glad Amazon carries it because I can't find it locally.

Authentic sesame oil tastes so much better than domestically produced sesame oil, and this is authentic. I shop at a few Korean and Japanese markets in my area, and have had sesame oil, especially chili sesame oil.This is the first time I’ve tried this brand, but it’s just as enjoyable as the other authentic oils I’ve tried. The flavor is so smokey and deep, and the chili adds just enough heat to compliment the sesame flavor. I top off plain rice with a little.It also comes equipped with a little button under the cap by the spout making it super convenient to apply the oil, whether you just want a little or just a little more than usual. This is a wonderful condiment!
