Okay, this case is flat out, fantastic. On my old iPhone 6, I used a Defender case by Otter-Box. It was okay, it protected the phone from any type of impact really well. That said, it was not waterproof, and, the front portion of the case, did not have very good responsiveness to touch, making the phone a bit frustrationg/annoying to use, but again, it protected it well. I see that Otter-Box no longer has a front screen protector build into their current Defender cases, and I completely understand why. Now, with this case, well, it's a joy to use. The touch and responsiveness is OUTSTANDING. So, no more having to choose protection over touch, or touch over protection, as this case allows you to have it all. The case not only protects the phone from impact, and has a great touch screen, it's also waterproof down to 33ft. Finally, this case allows for you to charge your phone with the case on, whether through the traditional power cord, or, a wireless base, which is great. There are other cases that make such claims as well, but some are a lot more pricey. Imo, for total protection, ease of use, and overall quality, this one appears to be the best bang for the buck, without really having to sacrifice one feature, for another. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

I’ve been using life proof forever. I was hesitant about getting something different but I did and got the Catalyst Case. The case is similar to life proof but has some distinct qualities that set it apart. There is a clever way catalyst allows you to turn the silent mode switch on and off. You actually rotate it like a lamp switch. I thought that was great. The life proof was always annoying trying to switch between modes. The sound is by far way better, both speaking to someone on the phone or just listening to the speakers. Way better by leaps and bounds.The case is well made, screen doesn’t have that “oilSlick” look and the lanyard, although I thought at first I would use it, comes in handy especially with the iPhone pro Max which is a big device. It saved me plenty of times from dropping it. It’s just a handy thing to have. There are no issues with the stupid gasket like with the life proof case. Every time I cleaned my life proof case that stupid gasket would always come undone and getting it back into its home was always annoying. The Catalyst is better engineered and there are no issues with the gasket. It’s stays where it should. Lastly I found the tab that’s incorporated into the case for getting back apart after it’s on the phone was great. It’s now easy to take the case apart and get to your phone for whatever reason. The life proof always had me struggling trying to get it apart and again...that stupid gasket issue. Well not with this case. I think it’s great! I’m happy with my purchase.

Purchased this for my iPhone 11 Pro. Made certain I selected the correct option, and it is, as it fits the phone and can take pictures and video accurately. Performed a water test prior to installation. It was waterproof as advertised. I performed installation instructions as it said and even watched videos on the website. I know it was installed correctly, and there were no O-ring issues. One side of the case just felt more raised up than the other, and you could press it a bit and it would make a squeaking sound like it wasn’t tight. Reinstalled. Made sure o ring was still good. Everything perfect. Still did it. Decided to water test it on my phone, and it got my phone wet inside. All ports were closed. I think this particular case is just defective, but it’s sad to have paid $90 for water protection and not receive it.Edit: I originally left a 1 star review on this, as I was so upset about paying so much for a case that was messed up. I reached out to catalyst via the instructions on their website. They were so eager to make things right that they sent me, not one, but two cases completely free, and freely shipped. The new case I have put on my phone is perfect. No creaking issues, closes well, everything fits together well, and passed the water test with flying colors. I’m so thrilled. I had to change my rating to 5 stars, because what company warranties your defective case out and sends you TWO to earn your business back, as well as their reputation.Design wise, I also love the dial knob to easily switch my phone from silent to ring, as well as the lanyard. Keeps it from getting lost or falling off my wrist. Thank you, catalyst!!

I LOVE this phone case except for 2 things.The sound in it is great, unlike lifeproof which muffled my sound. This phone case feels comfortable to hold. It is waterproof as I tested it, camera works well under water too. I like the mute/unmute rotating feature...took me a minute to figure out how to get it to work though. You have to slide it in with the mute button side going in first. I love the clear back and I’ve had it for a while now and no scratches so that’s a good sign.Here’s what I don’t like...the charging port is covered by a piece that comes off. If it’s off completely that renders the phone not waterproof. It’s difficult to get it to stay on when I plug my auxiliary jack into it and put the phone on my dash phone holder. The piece at the bottom almost always comes off, then I have to remember to put it back in when I’m done. I just wish there was a better design for that or that it didn’t come off completely so easily. Second thing I hate, and why I almost didn’t buy this phone case, is because I don’t want to give a penny to the CDC. But at the end of the day you can’t shop at any major retail or anywhere that doesn’t support something you may not believe in, so I have to look at the product and not the cause, but it was hard.

The charging port cover is not attached to the case. It comes off as a separate piece. I had only had this case for 1 month and the charging cover fell off. The case is now completely useless as a waterproof case. Prior to this, the case was great. Now it is worthless. MANUFACTURER NEEDS TO PROVIDE USERS WITH SPARE CHARGING PORT COVERS. Terrible design.
