Yes sleeping with it not a problem. I love this brace I do a great deal of typing on my laptop and this brace allows me to use my fingers freely while supporting the thumb and wrist.

That's funny, I'm a musician too. It's not going to heal your injury, but it will keep your thumb from moving too much and it will keep people from shaking your hand.But I guess you can do that with a cheaper one. It's pretty comfortable compared to most. I guess that's what you're paying for. Good Luck!
