Homelab NAS/SAN is super fast now!
Used 24 of these to upgrade homelab all-flash NAS/SAN exporting LUNs over FC to 3-node Windows Cluster. Read/write speed is lightning fast; plus, the lab is so quiet now!

So far, so good; has the speed advertised
I bought this 1TB internal SSD to use with an Raspberry Pi4B installed into an Argon One M.2 case. The Argon case comes with an adapter from USB 3 to the M.2 SATA III interface on the SSD, and they work great together. Some RPi I/O benchmarks are intended to test various microSD card read/write speeds, so the numbers that they return from this SSD accessed via the USB 3 interface on the RPi4 are quite high. Overall it is working out fine. It has the capacity to hold my digital music library and the read/write speeds to support my LAN monitoring and video recording software.

Works. No complaints. I'm counting on the WD name for longevity.
29 May 2023: A review for two purchased: Western Digital 1TB WD Red SA500 NAS 3D NAND Internal SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/s, 2.5"/7mm. I've had them a couple of months. No problems. Got them to replace two Samsung 870EVO's that died in a little less than 2 years. Samsung has some real problems and it took over 3 months to get replacements under warranty from Samsung. Right after they failed, I switched to these Western Digital's because I have used WD drives since 1994 and in my little life in my little home WD drives have been stellar performers. I have to say that all my past experience with WD has been with spinning platters. I hope these solid state drives are also reliable. Breakneck speeds don't impress me much. I just love good performance for a long, long time. So...the "RED" line from WD is supposed to be exactly that--constant running over the long haul in devices. Yep. I hope that is true. WD, do it to me again. I need you.

Perfect for Ubiquiti Cloud Key+
Installed this in my Ubiquiti Cloud Key+ after the original 5400rpm hard drive that shipped with it failed after a year. No tools needed, just unclip the old disk, insert this one and power on with PoE. Can confirm this is fully compatible with CK+. It automatically detected, formats the drive and starts using it for Unifi Protect camera storage. Less than 10 mins downtime.Hopefully the SSD will last longer than the OEM HDD, which lasted about 18 months with 4 cameras before getting bad sectors and fragging itself.
