Best
I've been a Rodey for many, many years. I started with Bell a very long time ago and survived two serious crashes one when a HD motorcycle ran me over. Now that one broke a whole lot of my personal stuff on me a completely destroyed a very nice Bike. The Bell Helmet while damaged is one of the few things that stood up to both of those crashes. I then bought one of those new trendy high-priced helmets that everyone has to have. It never was comfortable, slid forward on my head and was damaged after a very minor fall on a mountain bike. Back to this Bell. It has all of the latest safety features, very comfortable and fits perfect. Bell, half the price and a better helmet.

comfortable helmet
I've been pleased with this BELL Avenue MIPS Adult Road Bike Helmet that I purchased a year ago. It fits well, and I like the ease of adjustment with the dial at the back of the helmet. I would 100% recommend this helmet to anybody looking for an affordable and comfortable bicycle helmet.

Nice helmet
Wish there was mesh coving under the holes though. Stupid bee came in and stung the dung out of me on the first ride.

Good helmet
I really like the comfort and fit for this helmet, and it's an extremely reasonable price for it. Only issue is that the picture makes it look like a burnt orange, but in person it's just red. Still love the value and am happy with the purchase.

Comfortable, stylish and strong
I was saved by my trusty, 15 year old Bell bike helmet recently. As a new owner of a popular brand of e-bike, I learned first hand that these machines are to be taken seriously. I had a nasty wreck on my second night of owning it. It was pitch black outside and I was on a curvy bike path with nothing but a small headlight. A dangerous set of circumstances. In short, I was knocked unconscious for about 20 minutes. Upon inspection I found that the inside of my helmet was cracked in at least 4 places. I can only imagine what would have happened had I not strapped on that helmet. So, out of appreciation for that save, I decided to stick with Bell for my new helmet. I quite like the look of this one so I gave it the nod. Well, it's not only very rugged, it's also well ventilated and very comfy. It has what they call "MIPS" which is described as a slip plane designed to reduce rotational forces. Basically, what that means is, when you strap the helmet on, the outer shell is free to rotate to a certain degree to allow for further absorption of impact. It also makes it so the inner webbing is what is strapped to your head, not the shell itself. Again - very comfy. Highly recommended.Ride Rad!

THIS HELMET SAVED MY LIFE
I did my very first road race ever last weekend, the Tour de Tucson, and during that race I crashed. Overcooked it into a sweeping left-hander, and side-swiped the curb at 19 mph. Lost the front and went down hard. Knee and hip took most of it, but my head bounced off the sidewalk hard enough to do real damage with a lesser helmet. No helmet? Probably dead. But other than some road rash up my right side, I was able to walk away and finish the ride. So grateful!

Straps are poorly designed
It is better than my old Bell helmet that cost $20 but the straps are too short. As others noted, the straps are not long enough for people with large heads. I wear a knit hat under my helmet in the winter but with the extra material, the straps are too short. They are long enough to close but they work themselves out of the clasp and are a real pain to put back. Even without the hat, the straps work loose everyday and need to be tightened. A poor design for a company that has been designing helmets for so long.
