Thick and Rich
Just what I needed and desired!!! I'm "always, relentlessly" hunting for bargains, "anywhere and everywhere" I shop! I was so happy to discover that this "Amazon Grocery" tomato sauce is very, very competitively priced, and is of excellent quality! Unlike other "bargain priced" tomato sauces out there, this one is surprisingly "thick," bright in color (which denotes freshness), and tastes delicious! Admittedly, "Times are really HARD for most people these days," and even besides My normal "innate" frugalness, thriftiness, and conservatism, I MUST shop even more strategically, more wisely, more cost comparatively, than usual due to some unfortunate extenuating circumstances my husband and I, or our family are currently struggling with! Just when I began to shop for (got the bright idea for, light bulb went off!), or decided I was going to take advantage of Amazon's Fresh, minimum $35 order on groceries for free delivery, WHAT??? I mean "what" happened Guys? You (that's amazon) upped the game to a "new" minimum purchase of $100 on groceries via Fresh, for free delivery? Hey, I don't usually spend that much (out of necessity or budget constraints) at one time! Seriously, no joke, not kidding! I'm a proud, grateful... Amazon Prime member, and have been for years, if for nothing else but rewarding Me for My customer loyalty, I feel like I deserve "free shipping" on any amount of groceries, whether fulfilled by amazon directly, or fulfilled via "Fresh," via Whole Foods! Think about it will you, it only makes sense, wouldn't you rather I buy my food from Amazon, then any other store? Instead of buying from HEB, La Fiesta, Poco Loco, Walmart, Target, La Michoacana, Culebra Meat Market... or the like? "Shoot that hoop," Girl! One more "point" for amazon, with every drop or food item I place in my cart, instead of theirs! Yeah! Heck Yeah!!! Excellent Quality Tomato Sauce 5Stars*****

Reliable product
I've been grabbing the Amazon Fresh Tomato Sauce in the 8-oz jar for a while now, and it's become a reliable pantry staple. While the "(Previously...)" in the name suggests a change or rebranding, the sauce inside remains consistently good. For a basic tomato sauce, it strikes a nice balance. It's flavorful without being overly complex, making it a versatile base for so many dishes. I've used it for everything from quick pasta dinners and pizza toppings to the base for more elaborate sauces and even in baked dishes like eggplant parmesan. The tomato flavor is bright and slightly sweet, without any of that tinny or artificial taste you can sometimes find in canned sauces. The 8-oz size is perfect for smaller households or single servings. It reduces waste, which I appreciate. It's also great for when you just need a little bit of sauce for a specific recipe. The texture is smooth, which I prefer, but it still has a nice body to it. It coats pasta well and blends easily with other ingredients. Pros: Good, classic tomato flavor. Versatile for many dishes. Convenient 8 oz size reduces waste. Smooth and consistent texture. Reliably good quality for the price. Easy to order with Amazon Fresh. Cons: Might be too basic for those seeking a more complex or artisanal sauce. The "Previously..." in the name is a little ambiguous and doesn't explain what changed. Overall: If you're looking for a dependable and tasty basic tomato sauce that's conveniently delivered with your Amazon Fresh order, this 8-oz jar is a great option. It's a solid workhorse in the kitchen and consistently delivers good flavor for a variety of meals. I'll continue to keep a few jars on hand.

Surprisingly good for the price and a perfect size for us people living alone...
Surprisingly good for the price! The flavor is even better with a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes and a bit of shredded cheese. The portion size is about one-third of a standard glass jar of pasta sauce, which makes it perfect for solo cooks like me who don’t want to deal with leftover sauce from a large jar. In summary: convenient, tasty, and just the right size. Also, a cheap product to add to your shopping car when Amazon is offering 10% discount on 4 or more selected items. I pretty much got the 4 cans I ordered for free when buying other things thanks to the discount. Will buy again.

Flavorful with a little Italian spice added
Great for doing pizza sauce. Better than the higher price brand at the grocery that says Italian. This has some Italian flavoring added very light. The only problem is one can most of had other crushed cans on it as the label was torn and it was spattered with something that is red. I may choose to throw one of the cans I received out and it will be $0.59 loss. That doesn't sound like much but when I add up all the losses I've had in the last 6 months from poor packaging and poor managing their Warehouse stock and then sending it on its way to unwittingly unknown to the customer wow I'm just sick of it but this canned tomato sauce is excellent. I'm just so tired of Amazon's poor quality that is getting worse with every delivery. This was delivered to a mail station three blocks from my home not even to my house. They turned it over to the US postal system no wonder it takes forever. I just signed up for prime we'll see if it gets any better my guess it doesn't matter. I have been ordering from Amazon for years and years and years and years and never had this much trouble until this past year and I'll say this past maybe 6 months it's gotten really bad. They are apparently working their people to death or they're hiring people that are untrained and uneducated in the ways of working in warehouses and packing. I lay that at the foot of those supervisors who do not train their people well or give them the encouragement they need to do a better job. Or they are hiring people that never would care about their job. This comes to homes all over the world to feed our families. Amazon has to do something about the poor quality of packing and delivery. I can say that I hardly ever used to complain and this time I'm not even calling in because I've decided I have to start shopping at Walmart which I don't want to do but isn't it all part of the same pot of money are they the very same now. We don't have a Costco and we don't have a Sam's club in our town or an Aldi's and I don't like shopping at Walmart I just don't like the bigness of it but Amazon has just lost its marketing value. Good deliveries that are not damaged. I mean my coffee bag was flattened what does that do to the integrity of it bag I could smell coffee when I picked up the box before I opened it. I am so discouraged because I have loved this convenience I even started prime up again in hopes that maybe they would like me more if I paid them the 15 bucks a month for delivery but I think that will not make a difference. Again the tomato sauce is great but I'll probably throw one can out because it has something spilled all over it and there's nothing that is open that was in the box so it had to have been somewhere in the warehouse and they just threw it in my box like that. Tomato sauce that does the trick.
Tomato sauce! For tomato sauce, this is exactly what I expected. Good taste, good consistency. The review wants me to talk about ease of use...I opened the can, poured it out, and made dinner! Pretty straightforward. Functionality? It makes good chili. Enchilada sauce. And a kick butt spaghetti and pizza sauce. We love pizza and pasta in our house, and while I know my great-Nonna is probably rolling in her grave over her great-granddaughter not making pizza and spaghetti sauce all from scratch, it did the trick. Color? Um, it's red. As expected. Which I suppose with food is a good thing. Anyhow. Stock your pantry. Add it to your cart if you're trying to reach a same-day shipping quota or something like that.
