LiteOutdoors Silnylon Tarp - 11.6 Oz. - Ultralight Backpacking Tarp or Hammock Tarp (Green, 8' x 10')

This does what it says it does. I've had it up in heavy 35 mph winds with no issues. I accidentally mounted it so 6 inches of water pooled in it with no breakage. It sheds water. It dries quickly. It takes up in my pack the same volume as a pint and a half of water, and weighs little.

I am a professional trip leader and just took this tarp out for an inaugural four-night backcountry trip. It performed very well. It is very lightweight and much cheaper than it's major brand counterparts. I highly recommend it. It is so large at 10x10 and so light. One deception though. Yes, it is the 11 ounces that they claim, but my packed-for-use weight is 1.3 pounds due to adding four stakes and cords for pitching. but, still, that is so light for how big and versatile it is. it can also easily be used as an evac litter if the need arose.

Quality seems nice. Product arrived as expected. I’ve packed and repacked this product multiple times with no issue. Haven’t had the chance to use this in the field but so far I like it. Only drawback so far is having to seal the seam

Lots of loose threads. Almost every guyout point had at least one lose thread in the stiching. At its price point after shipping I paid $130 for this tarp. I'd expect at that high price, there shouldn't bee loose ends. Silnylon feels good and is light Weight but the stiching poor. I'm thinking of re sewing it to reinforce but for that price I shouldn't have to. Only reason I may do so is because of it coming in at 11oz.

Easy deployment, but the 10x12 is 5 ounces heavier than advertised. Pretty disappointing considering it was purchased for a backpacking trip. Seam sealer was included so that was a plus. Will definitely not purchase items such as this on Amazon again.

Great tarp. Looks fantastic. Quality is high. Haven't used it in the field but it appears to be well constructed.
