YoLink has many home monitoring systems including water links, video and thermostats. I use only the water leak detection system. The system uses an app to program and control leak detectors that automatically detect and send notifications to email and mobile phone. I also installed an online inline automated water valve to turn off the water if a leak is detected. I have placed a detector near the washing machine, the refrigerator and dishwasher, and the water heater. Basically, anywhere there could be water leaks, there is a small detector. The detectors also have great range. I even put one near the intake from the well to monitor for frozen pipes. The system works extremely well. It will also connect to the internet to allow for online control anywhere there is internet. However, internet is NOT needed for the system to detect and turn off the water. But is needed for online control and notification. Not sure if you can set up for a phone call notification. The valve cutoffs are very good quality and work flawlessly. I have the model that allows you to simply fit it to the existing cutoff valve. This setup allows for a simple install usually without a plumber. There is also an improved inline cutoff valve that sadly was not available when I installed my system. This newer improved model completely replaced the existing cutoff valve. Or you could install the new inline valve in addition to the existing valve. Mine is in the pump house but it can easily be installed in the water cutoff box coming from the street. The system worked well for multiple years until I began having “detector offline” notifications. YoLink support worked immediately with me to diagnose and solve the issue. They even added an additional hub at their expense. All in, a very well designed and constructed system with excellent customer support. The app is also top quality. I would definitely recommend YoLink for instant peace of mind that your home will not be flooded while at work or traveling.

Having used a lot of home automation devices over the years (including X-10 and Z-Wave), this one is superior. Their installation process is quick and simple. They supply QR codes to get you started. The smart phone app is easy to use and intuitive. Another good thing is there are no fees to operate it unless you have a lot of sensor activity (high SMS traffic), but the fees are modest. I have heard that integrating to Alexa might be a problem but since I don't use that, I don't care. Having just installed it, only time will tell if it is truly a winner. However, since the hubs are inexpensive, I plan on getting a spare. I believe that installing a new or multiple hubs is pretty easy also. After using this for 6 weeks, I still find it to work very well. The only issue I have encountered is the area I am in has sporadic but brief power outages which can disrupt the operation of the dimmers and switches but they have a retry function available. Update: This product is a winner. Been using this for over a year. Again, their app works well and is easy to use and as far as I have been able to determine, they have all imaginable functions and features covered. All of their devices work well and are reasonably priced, especially compared to Z-Wave. The variety of devices available is outstanding and their solution for operating garage door openers is remarkable. YoLink's customer service is responsive and helpful. Found one small issue with pairing a device: one of the fobs is black with white printing used for the QR code pairing. Their app only recognizes black printing with a white background. The workaround was to scan the QR code, reverse the image and have the app scan the reversed image.

The YoLink ecosystem is great in what it does. It is very easy to set up connecting other devices. The automation works well for the way it is designed. UPDATED: Some of the things about automation are not obvious at first. When I figured out how to do multiple conditions, I was able to do exactly what I wanted. Set it to 5 stars.

Oh yeah I must say these were the simplest iot device is I ever set up. Many kudos to whoever designed it. They arrived by Amazon and I'd been working in the shop all day cleaning firearms. I was somewhat intoxicated when they arrived... Yet without reading the instructions. I got this hub setup and connected to my Lan along with one of their temperature sensors from a garage freezer and less than 5 minutes... All of this while plastered. Many kudos!. The only negative thing I could say, and it is subtly mentioned in the description, but you do not have unlimited alerts by SMS or email. You only get like 15 SMS and maybe a few hundred emails on one's for alerting status. I can understand because they have to run the servers and there's a cost behind it. What they should do is allow me to put in my own mail server credentials if I want to and have my own mail server send Auto parts rather than rely on them. I'm going to suggest it to him on their web page. If it already had SMTP settings for me to use my own server I would give it five stars right now. If they add that ability, I will change it to five stars But yeah these things are great. I got the remote temperature sensor right for my freezer after an incident where the freezer plug worked its way out after yours of hot cold, hot, cold, hot cold in the garage and I had no warning that my freezer was worn. Their remote temperature modules somehow gets through the metal of the freezer to the hub and onto my land with no problem. So whatever technology they're using it's really good. I'm looking forward to looking into the other sensors they have. I noticed they have a garage door opener that only works by finger print. That's a big concern of mine having the garage door opener on the sun visor of a car park in the highway. Some scumbag tweaker could break a window and push the button to open your garage to steal your tools. With that fingerprint sensor that would not work. That will probably be my next purchase.

I bought the valve, controller and several sensors for a water link detection system from YoLink. I had an issue with the controller, and YoLink quickly sent me another which solved the problem and now the system works very well. Contact with their tech support was quick and easy both online and by phone, which earns huge points in my book. No long wait times, they were very quick to answer my call and very quick to respond to emails, and they solved my problems and answered my questions very well. Good customer service - 5 stars. I wish all companies had this kind of service. I later bought the hub and another sensor and added them to the system. The installation was a breeze. Couldn't have been easier. The products were well made and well packaged and easily connected to the hub and the app. A hint that I would pass on if you are pairing sensors to the controller without the hub and app: Close the valve first, then pair the sensor to the controller, then open the valve and then test with water on the sensor contacts. Repeat for other sensors to install. Don't try to pair with the valve open is the key - be sure it's closed. Thanks YoLink for a good product that does exactly what it's supposed to do and at what I believe is a very fair price.

Excellent build quality at a reasonable price and very easy to set up. The only criticism I have is about the mounting tape. It works too well as I found out when I removed the finger to slightly adjust its' position and it took the paint off right along with it. Not to worry though. It was on a garage wall. I did however use a double sided clear tape that can be removed easily to mount the other devices. A warning about the extreme grip of the included tape might be in order. All the devices I have purchased have performed flawlessly. YoLink first came to my attention when I watched Brian Read of Automate Your Life review YoLink products, I had been struggling with Smartthings and YoLink is the perfect replacement for my uses. The ease of use and setup allows people with marginal technical skills to begin automating their homes. Home automation will only take off when it becomes as easy as plugging in a new TV set. YoLink has taken a giant stride in that direction. I have contact sensors on outside doors, on a freezer door, motion sensor controlled lights in one room so far and a temperature and humidity monitor mounted in a protected spot on a covered patio. I also use a YoLink Finger to control my garage door. Changes in the state of these devices are announced on an Echo Show 8. I'm sure there will be many more YoLink products added soon. Another small mention. I noticed in several reviews on Amazon that people reported trouble scanning the QR codes. I had the same problem but discovered that the problem was that the place I was trying to do the scan, directly under a smart bulb set at 80% brightness, was too brightly lit. The problem was likely not the QR code but the camera on my cell phone. Moving to a room with only daylight filtered through a curtain cured the problem. The scan was instantaneous under those lighting conditions.

Easy set-up, good instructions

I purchased the YoLink Hub and the YoLink Water Leak Sensor. My concern was a leak from my water heater. The Hub is required as the the centerpiece connecting a suite of products offered by the company. I’m not particularly tech savvy, and frankly it took me a bit to think through the several now-simple installation steps. In retrospect it really was easy to install the Hub and the Leak Sensor. Once I understood the steps, very quickly I used the app to set up the system to send alerts to my phone and to my email in the event of a leak. I tested by pouring a small amount of water under the sensor and was delighted to get immediate notifications. My next step was to connect to my Amazon Echo devices for alerts through Alexa. That was more challenging for clutzy me, so I emailed Customer Support. I was surprised, to say the least, by a speedy and customized response by a real person on Memorial Day! Armed with this information, in a few moments through the app I got the Hub and Sensor set to allow Alexa to provide me my own personalized message in the event of a leak. These products work great! I’m very impressed by them and by the commitment of the company to customer service. I’m telling my friends, and I’m considering buying added products.

This is only one of the line of YoLink products that we purchased and all of them are very reliable, easy to operate and recommended! This hub has zero issues all attachments recognized immediately very very long range signal coverage. I'm using YoLink devices for a bit more than half year and not regret. Very recommended!

La configuración no batallé con el cable ethernet, batallé un poco con el WiFi pero finalmente quedó configurado. Le conecté dos sensores de energía y lo reconoció de inmediato. La aplicación está muy intuitiva. Y buena calidad de los productos, el HUB, el cable de alimentación y el eliminador de corriente. Todo de excelente calidad. El Hub y 1 sensor los puse en la Oficina y el otro sensor de energía en la farmacia que queda a 1 cuadra de la oficina. Gran alcance.

Needed this to act as a hub for a smart thermometer which I had bought for monitoring freezer temperature. Installation was very simple using the free app. Range is great so there was no problem finding somewhere to have it sit out of the way. It supports multiple devices so can be used for other smart devices.
