Vitalis Hair Tonic For Men, 7 ounce (pack of 1) (VT06017)

I used Vitalis years ago when I had a lot more hair and it made my hair soft, manageable, and not the slightest bit oily looking. Very natural look when dry. Scent fades quickly to a subtle, unobjectionable level once the solvents have evaporated. It contains humectants (glycols, high molecular weight alcohol, and I think, glycerin) that hold moisture in your hair and scalp without oil or grease. Washes out very easily. After application, rub it in briskly until you feel some drag on your hair.I still use it on my bald head after shaving , not for cosmetic reasons, but because it relieves my chronically itchy scalp better than anything else I've tried. It's economical to use, too, even if you use it liberally (which you can do).

So glad this product is still being made. Hard to find the useful 'standbys' from earlier days.

I towel-dry my hair after a shower, and then put a palm's amount of Vitalis in my hands and distribute evenly as I can onto all my hair. Then, I comb my hair straight back and I look like one cool fool! Once it dries, under the ceiling fan while I'm watching an episode of Happy Days, my hair remains max-manageable. Wet or dry, after Vitalis, I can comb my hair any way I please, and it doesn't fight me. Then, after I comb it exactly perfect, I spray on a little Consort hair spay, then I have a perfect hair style all day, with not one hair where it isn't supposed to be! Eat your heart out ladies. No, you CANNOT touch my perfect hair!I like how this product hasn't change its labeling in over 50 years or more. I remember seeing it in grandpa's bathroom growing up, and it looked exactly the same. I sure wish I would have tried it back then. These days its my favorite male grooming product. I love the way it smells.

Seems like I've been using it forever -- although less hair now requires less Vitalis, I still keep a bottle on my bathroom shelf for after-shampoo moments. Still does the trick.

Years ago I kept a bottle of this stuff in the bathroom, and ususually used it after a long day of workoutside and a hot shower. I liked the smell and I liked its ability to style my hair and hold it there. This new stuff does not smell the same, and it's practically useless as a hair oil. You can put as much as you like on, and it will evaporate and your hair will do as it pleases. I threw most of the newer bottle out and bought some argon oil, which actually does something. Too bad, but this stuff is not good.
