My sweat pants were falling down because the drawstring kept slipping. The only way to keep the string at the right length was to tie it into a knot at the end. I figured popping one of these onto the string would be much easier.They came as advertised in a small ziplock bag. I pulled one out and strung the drawstring through it without a problem. The holes are about the exact same size as the standard drawstring, so it fit perfectly. The spring mechanism on these toggles is fairly firm, so the string is held in place pretty tightly. These guys are fairly flat and so it is not the easiest to squeeze the toggle. The thing you squeeze is a smidge thicker than a credit card, but rounded so it doesn't cause any discomfort when using it.Bottom is it works and does exactly what I need it to do. Not a clue what I am going to do with the other 9 that came in the bag though.Update 3 days later: I spoke too soon. The cord locks started slipping a bit. Not quite as strong a grip as I had hoped. Just enough to keep my pants up, thankfully.

I have children's the Autism Spectrum who currently live to wear jogger pants. Unfortunately, they usually have draw strings that make it hard for a child with fine motor issues to secure independently after using the bathroom at school. These help! They're secure enough to hold the drawstring in place but not too difficult to loosen without holding down the button. My kids generally retighten by pulling the strings. I imagine these would also work well on sneakers and other articles of clothing.

Hobby Lobby employees looked at me blankly when I described I wanted to purchase these for myself. So glad to find them online. Also bought some of the barrel-kind that are not split for two separate cords, and I have found that using one of each type together works fabulously for adding draw-strings that won't come loose to ankles (for holding pants below the knee) and at the waist.I use them in conjunction with shock-cord elastic which makes a huge difference.

Work great for holding ends of drawstrings in pants' waists, but I'm using one on each end of the string (looping the string back, like what's shown in the photo), as opposed to inserting each end of the string into each hole of the toggle.

Just want I needed to replace the strap lock on my favorite hat and I was able to gift one to my friend who also needed one for her hat. Glad to have a couple of extras as spares---just in case.

Perfect for heavier cord. Locks are well made, easy to use and hold well.

Not too many choices like these so was happy to find them. Unfortunately not as strong as I'd hoped as the 1/4" rope slips through them quite easily without a lot of resistance.

I bought these to replace the plastic lock on my drysuit boots. The work great and as long as I rinse the salt off after my dive, they don't seem to rust. Even if they finally fail after a dozen dives, at the price, who cares?
