I have been dealing with build-up that has become constant and more like seborrheic dermatitis that will turn into sores if I try to exfoliate it off my scalp. I had tried "calm scalp" and it helped, but it was more treatment than preventative and had a strong vinegar scent that took a bit to dissipate.In addition to that, it was feeling impossible to condition my hair in a way if felt smooth and didn't tangle when I moved. I have straight, THICK, hair down past my waist (top of butt crack really) and I was afraid something was changing that was gonna lead to having to cut my hair or even hair loss (family history of alopecia).Doctor said allergies, changed my shampoo and conditioners to their recommended and no changes. Spent a lot of time exfoliating my scalp, carefully washing and drying my hair, not using anything that potentially added to my scalp. But a day or two and my scalp was a wreck again.We have HARD water. Everything in our shower is coated in white from the lime. We haven't been able to add a filter due to the type of plumbing currently installed and it wasn't my first thought about my scalp and hair until my aunt pointed out the difference in her hair/skin when she washed it in hard VS soft water.ONE USE AND IT WAS MAGICAL. My scalp was so clear. No build up, no crumblies, no flakes, no sores, no itching. And it smelt wonderful. The rosemary and mint were refreshing, small vinegar hint but does not bother me at all. AND MY HAIR WAS REVIVED! Smooth, shiny, tame, no rough patches, and I didn't use any other shampoo or conditioner in that wash. I managed to get about two and a half rinses from the bottle and I may have used more than needed in the first one. I am subscribing to this and only this because of the magic it provided me and saved my scalp and hair.

This has a refreshing scent to it. Great for your scalp. I get an itchy scalp during seasonal allergy flair ups and this is very soothing, natural ingredients, gentle enough to use several times a week. I even comb mine through while in the shower, after I've shampooed.

I have struggled with seborrheic dermatitis (malassezia) off and on my whole life. For several years in my 20s, I went the "no poo" route and made my own mixture of apple cider vinegar and essential oils and it completely stopped the problem for years. I also credit therapy/recovery (healing my mind), and a plant-based diet (healing my body) with helping to clear things up -- everything is connected! I found the Scalp Detox + Tonic and I'm not even done with my first bottle and wowwowow it is totally clearing up my scalp in a way that my product routine up until now has not done. I still use the Dermazen Calming Seborrheic Serum, which is also a game changer, and the Dermazen conditioner which is safe for dermatitis and makes my hair super soft, but I stopped using their shampoo and now I just put this Pacifica tonic on my head in the morning, rub it in, rinse it off and go. I do this almost every day and it's unbelievable how big a difference it has made in combination with my other go-tos (Aveeno lotion, Demazen Serum). I'm even able to wear my hair up with confidence, instead of trying to hide the part of my scalp that would build up with scales and flakes throughout the day! With aging, hormone changes, environmental factors, etc., I know I'll be managing my malassezia for the rest of my life -- so my dream goal is to have an easy haircare routine, and feel confident throughout the day.
