Cricut Expression: A Comprehensive Guide to Creating with Your Machine Paperback – May 1, 2012

This book is awesome!! Nice heavier pages and very well explained. Very good quality. Love it!!

This book is comprehensive book for Cricut cutting machines, with information galore. Lot's if tips, tricks and (no politics or virus!)I believe this goes to at least an expression 2 or earlier. Please research what machines are featured. My books are packed in a box marked art books. When my son moved in, JUST before the quarantine started. Packed up in NY to come to Florida all Dec & Jan. Unpacked, loved furniture, condensed two craft rooms into one. It DOES NOT FIT!!! BUT my art books will always have a place in my completed craft room. I hope they get to see some of Florida before years' end!!!

If you are just starting out with the cricut and have a good selection of cartridges, then this book should be of help to you. I didn't find any of the projects difficult and it is laid out nicely with product info, cutting size, etc. Basic but a substantial sized book. Better priced for what it is then most other books in this category. More bang for your buck! If you are well versed in Cricut lingo and know basic functions then you may not find this book to be of value.I do have to say, that although the Cricut Expression 2 is pictured...the projects are using the Cricut Expression with overlays and outdated functionality for the Cricut Expression 2.

I was grateful to even find this book. The original Cricut and the Expression 2 are old stand-alone cutting machines long since abandoned by the manufacturer for the newer computerized models but are still around in the stashes of long time scrapbookers and occasionally are gifted or sold to others. The instructions that came with it were never very good and long since misplaced. The machine still works fine and I was giving it away but wanted the new owner to have better instructions on how to use it. There are still some YouTube videos around as well but I like written instructions. This has the updates for the Expression 2 and all due respect, the machine was amazing for its time and new in the scrapbooking marketplace. It's a big book with a lot of projects that involve a lot of different cartridges, which I didn't need. But the critical pages about how to work the menus are worth the price. If you are receiving a Cricut Expression 2, this book will be valuable to you to make the most of it.

The instructions are pretty good, but I think most of the information can be found in the books that come with the cricut machines or on you tube. I also felt there were way too many pages dedicated to projects in this book. Pages 8 -60 are the actual cricut guide; and pages 61-205 are various projects. I subscribe to the Cricut Magazine for project/ideas and didn't really need another book for those. My granddaughters really like the book, and the projects do inspire them. The quality (copy, photo pages, sizes if print) are great especially for the price of the book.

I just got this book Cricut Expressions: A Comprehensive Guide to Creating with Your Machine and I have already learned something. I did not realize that the plastic cover for the cutting mat has a right and a wrong side. One side is slightly greasy and should be placed over the tacky side of the cutting mat. This keeps the mat tacky longer. It is a good idea to write on the top side of the plastic so you can tell the difference. I also learned that I should check the blade frequently for fuzzy paper fibers which may dull the blade and keep it from cutting evenly. This book just keeps on giving me tips and insights to use with my Cricut Expression. I would recommend this book to every Cricut Expression owner.

My mom is addicted to scrapbook / card making and recently obtained a Cricut with about 20 cartridges. For the last 6 months I asked her how she liked the Cricut and her response was I have not used it yet. She advised that she read the manual and saw a video but did not feel comfortable with her Cricut. As a last ditch effort to keep her from wasting the prodcut I bought this book. After a week she said that she had started a few products after two weeks she said she was a master of the cricut.The book was well laid out and easy to follow even for the tech challenged and the projects that they show were easy to make and really offered a hands on experience for the Cricut. My mom said this book is worth every penny and has already loaned it to a friend.

I really am glad that I have this book before it was so hard for me to work my new Cricut Experssion 2 that I was hoping to get the book but I saw it was on Kindle for such a great price that I can't tell you how happy I was to find it very helpful book when I really was using the gypsy for all my sizing all I wanted to know was to how to work it and it was making me upset because I spend a lot of money on paper and then have my projects not be right oh I was very glad thank you so much for having this at a price that I couldn't pass up. I was very happy to have this I know how to use the 1st machine and now I can find it helpful on this book....
