Ware Scratch-N-Lounge Corrugated Cat Scratcher, Catnip Included, 17.5"W X 9.5"L X 4.5"H

My cats have broken others like this but we’ve had this one a while now and it’s holding up well.

My cats aren't small by any means (the vet says they're just "big-boned," but I still have them on a diet). The point is: They're large.I mention this because the other review for this item says it'd be better for kittens or smaller cats. I'm not doubting the other reviewer -- I'm sure some cats wouldn't like scratching on it because it doesn't have a large flat area -- it's just that my cats love it.One cat in particular claimed it as his own. I swear that one day he laid in it for twelve hours straight. He scratches a bit, and then curls up in it -- a perfect fit. I was vacuuming and he didn't budge. Better than any cat bed I've ever gotten for him.The *only* problem with this scratcher is the same problem all corrugated cardboard scratchers have: They sure do leave bits of cardboard everywhere. It's easy enough to vacuum up, though, so it doesn't bother me.

I keep reading reviews that this would be better for smaller cats, and I have to disagree. My beast is 33 inches from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail, and weighs in at 20 lbs. He is a very submissive cat, but has staked his claim in this scratcher. My smaller 9 lb cat does not seem to like it as much, but he has a different scratcher that he loves, and now I don't have to listen them fighting over scrathers (we have several scattered through the house). I've started calling this scratcher the boat because it rocks back and forth as my cat climbes in from the end. As far as he is concerned, he fits, so he sits.

It has too broad of a weave on it, if it was narrower it would be better.

We purchased this after our cat became obsessed with the Scratch lounge. We wanted to find another for a different area of the house. She still love to knead and lean against this one, but things get a little awkward when she tries to lay on it. We found that the longer rectangle box like shape was better suited for her.

This is so great, and the girls love this to bits. Yes, it's a lower end scratcher and it will disintegrate upon use (what it's designed for), but these are so inexpensive I don't mind buying a new one when the old one bites the dust. They love to lay on it, and the raised ends are a plus for resting kitties.

My cats love this thing even without the catnip!! I have had it a month and of course due to daily use by my two cats it is starting to shred the cardboard but for the price that is to be expected.

It his new home base.It has not lasted as long as I hoped. Maybe 2 mos. It still has a little life left. Maybe another month. But it was not expensive so I got what I paid for. and will possible get it again.
