Great carpet/rug shampoo. All of my area rugs and runners were filthy from 2 dogs running through the house. I ordered this cleaner, and my rugs look brand new and amazing. I was ready to throw them all away and buy new. I will definitely keep using this cleaner.

I was told this product did a very good carpet cleaning job.

I initially bought the Zep All Purpose Carpet shampoo and used it on part of my living room carpet. This carpet is almost 30 years old and has survived 3 large dogs and 4 cats. As the cats got older, they started finding places to hide their wastes instead of using the litter boxes. Fortunately, it didn't smell since I cleaned the carpet as I found the spots. Even so, the urine left some staining. In addition, my husband and I both smoked which causes some discoloration of the carpet. Plus, the carpet hadn't been entirely cleaned for at least 20 years. Because of the size of the room and furniture in it, I have had to clean a section at a time. I had already shampooed a couple sections of the carpet with Bissell carpet shampoos 3 times, and wasn't happy with the results.I first tried the Zep All Purpose Carpet shampoo which did a pretty good job of removing stains and discoloration using a Bissell Big Green Cleaning Machine. The problem I experienced was excessive foam that started shooting from under the carpet cleaner. When I emptied and cleaned the container that holds the dirty water, it was full of thick foam that took a bit to rinse out of the container. Because of this, I decided to try the Zep Premium Carpet Shampoo.In my opinion, the premium version of this shampoo is so much better than the all purpose version for carpeting. The premium version does a great job of cleaning the carpet without all the suds. After one pass on the carpet with this shampoo, most of the staining and discoloration is gone. I didn't expect any product to completely clean my carpet in one pass, and plan to go over sections of the carpet again with this premium version. The sections that I did make two passes actually look like new again. This carpet cleaner exceeded my expectations. I will never go back to using the Bissell carpet shampoos, and will likely dispose of the Bissell shampoos I have left unless I can use them for upholstery that doesn't need much cleaning. For the Zep Premium Carpet Shampoo to make 30 year old carpet look like new speaks for itself.I would highly recommend this carpet shampoo and hope this review was helpful for you.

The best cleaner for shampoo so dar.I had a nasty stain on my carpet I tried everything I even mixed different products and nothing.Soon I used this Zep like 20 ounces for 3 gallon wow everything looks brand new.love it.

Works as well as any of the other major brands and the price is good too
