Very responsive and helpful support
HOW I CHOSE ALYRIC S10I am not an audio fanatic, so my expectations are average.I had a cheaper Bluetooth streaming device earlier which I was not satisfied with because of multiple reasons:- it was a hassle to replace existing BT connecting with another one- its sound quality was terrible (very noisy)- its range was no more than ~5 meters, and a brick wall was definitely a showstopper.I also own a Google audio cast, placed in my kitchen, with which I am quite satisfied with (unfortunately discontinued). So I decided to buy another device in addition to the Google chromecast to put it in my living room, which is able to stream over WIFI, which has Spotify Cast and also supports Bluetooth with a more recent bluetooth version. I ended up buying Alyric S10DELIVERY:The order device was delivered according to the original estimate.SUPPORTWhen I installed following the instructions included in the package then not everything went well. Long story short, it turned out the device is defective and only Bluetooth worked, no network connectivity either LAN or WIFI.I contacted Alyric support in email. They answered both in email and on chat provided by Amazon for seller and buyer. Support accepted, based on my investigation, that the device needs a replacement and immediately they shipped a replacement device directly from the factory. They estimated that would arrive in a week's time. After one week the replacement was not delivered so I asked, and got a tracking ID to track delivery progress. After one month, I noticed on the tracking site, that the delivery was attempted and they left a note about it. That was an obvious lie from the local Post service (As I worked from home office and they did not leave any note), so I got anxious and I asked Alyric service's help again. In the end I got a full refund, although they previously offered a partial refund to recompense the inconveniently long taking delivery. In the end the replacement still arrived. So I ended up having two devices: one fully functional and another one with Bluetooth-only functionality.ALYRIC S10The new Alyric s10 was easy to install. Besides the the instructions leaflet included in the package the device connected to any speaker uses voice instructions as well.I did not follow exactly the instructions as I intended to use this device in two ways:- over Bluetooth and- over LAN using Spotify connect (mostly)I noticed that the 4Stream application is not necessary for this kind of usage. You can install or you can ignore it. Installing it is has the advantage that you can customize the setup of your device (e.g. changing the device name which is visible when you stream to it or for bluetooth)- I am very happy about the Bluetooth sound quality (especially when I am casting from Spotify over LAN)- Using the LAN connection is helping with the accessibility range as well: As soon as my casting device (mobile phone) is within my WIFI range I can cast to the device.- When I use Spotify cast then that actually is not a casting from my phone to Alyric s10 but from my spotify account located in the cloud to the device. So I can even go out of WIFI range but the music continues to play (unfortunately that is not the case with youtube, but that is not the case with my chromecast audio either :()- I can't tell anything about the sound quality over WIFI because I did not set it up WIFI at all.- The remote control works as expected (although I already have too many remote controls in my household so I don't really use it). There is a button at the back of the device which I can use to switch between the inputs (Net, Bluetooth, USB drive).- I just usually leave the device turned on and having the input set to Net- Note when the device is connected to LAN then the WIFI is not supposed to work (but I don't have experience without a wired UTP connection)- using you remote you can set the pre-amplifier volume as well Bass and Treble. That can be set from 4Stream app as well if you install it on your phone.- 4Stream can be installed both on Android and Iphone (I installed on both). But it is not necessary- The only problem that sometimes occurs is that approximately once in 30 minutes there is a 1-2 second gap in the music play. I am not sure if this is a network issue or some sort of buffering issue of the device, but that is not disturbing me too much (I am not sure if I experience that with BT connectivity too or only over LAN. I guess this is not a network issue with my home network as that does not happen when I cast to chromecast audio)

Great portable DIY Sonos alternative
I recently used the Arylic Up2Stream S10 along with Arylic's Up2Stream Amp 2.0 and Up2Stream Amp 2.0 V3 to create a "multi-room" portable battery powered sound system for a wedding. I had the S10 plugged into a USB power bank and then connected to a battery-powered boombox via 3.5mm audio cable. I had the other 2 amps plugged into other USB power banks and powering 2 sets of DIY speakers (Sprites and Overnight Sensations). I then also had a travel router plugged into a power bank and connected all 3 Up2Stream devices to the travel router wifi. Then I was able to link all 3 devices together using the 4Stream app so they all played together in sync. Then I streamed to them all via Spotify Connect from my cell phone which was also connected to the travel router wifi network. I was able to walk around the entire wedding area (a large outdoor patio + a large outdoor tent ~75 ft away and control the playlist all from my phone in my pocket. It was super convenient to not worry about keeping my phone within the short range of bluetooth - this way I could roam the entire wedding area freely w/ my phone in my pocket and still use my phone for taking pictures/videos of the wedding and adding songs to the playlist as people walked up to me and requested them. I was really impressed at how smoothly everything worked - the sound was perfectly in sync with no cutouts at all. It was very easy to use the 4Stream app to adjust the volume/bass/treble of each system independently to tailor it perfectly to the wedding space. I plan to repurpose all 3 Up2Stream devices in my home so I can enjoy multi-room audio in my house as well.

Useless as far as I'm concerned UPDATE Please read...
BT range is exactly 10ft, not 10' 1". Somehow, on all inputs this thing outputs something like a right channel into both channels, you'll completely miss left channel information even though both channels are playing. I've checked all sources and interconnects, and in fact plays the same way on a completely different stereo (I have four). Completely disappointed.Update please read...I can't say enough about the level of customer service with Arylic. They were more persistent than I was and even after I had waited too long to return it they were fantastic in making sure I was taken care of and happy. New unit works great. Thank you so much Arylic! Very highly recommended!

Good for the price
I use a single S10 device as the source for my whole home audio system. I use a couple of the streaming apps built in to the device and I also connect to it using Bluetooth. The sound quality is very good to my amateur ear. There are occasional audio glitches probably due to network issues. Audio over Bluetooth sometimes becomes degraded and it only clears up if I disconnect and reconnect Bluetooth. The documentation and support are lacking. There hasn’t been a single firmware update since I purchased mine in Sept 2023. The 4STREAM mobile app works okay but it could be better. The web interface is very limited compared to the mobile app. The HTTP API is hit and miss; I was able to get some to work but not all. I haven’t tried multiroom/multizone and probably never will. Inexpensive compared to other similar devices. You get what you pay for.
