nice little file set
using these for fine detail finishing of a 1911 frame they were nearly invaluable, they cut well and were very affordable. I would definitely recommend these. I have another set of files very similar in size that just aren't as good. Very pleased.

just what the hubby wanted
I ordered the 6 piece, Otis Technology Pro Gunsmithing File Set for my husband to use for work on his firearms. It includes: Includes round, half-round, flat, warding, square, and triangular files. They have comfortable grips and come in a convenient storage pouch. They are made from hardened steel alloy. It was a good value for the money. Since I am not the one using them, my husband said they work great. I'll take his word for it as he is very particular when it comes to any kind of tools.

Another manicure set
Had high hopes for Otis but relatively useless for metal work, possibly on very soft metal like jewelry

Great set of files
Ordered these files to use on a custom 1911 build I'm doing. These are really nice for fitting triggers, grip safety's, thumb safety's, etc. They are small enough to get into tight areas that need cleaning up and smoothing out. Highly recommend this set

Great for adjusting front pistol sight
I've used this set once thus far. I decided to swap out my various pistol sights. After paying a gunsmith to do the first one, it became apparent this was going to be expensive. A few youtube videos later, I knew I could do it myself. I bought a sight pusher and a punch set, but when I went to install my first front sight, it wasn't even close to fitting into the dovetail. The triangular file in this set was just about the perfect angle to maintain the dovetail while taking some material off. I would file a few strokes, test, file, test. It went on for a while, but I was able to remove just enough material, while maintaining the beveled angle of the dovetail, to get a perfect tight fit on the front sight that I was able to tap into place using a punch. I bought this file set for this purpose and I'm very happy with the value and performance.

Super Useful
Perfect for home gunsmiths for fitting aftermarket sights that need a tiny amount of material removed. Great at getting a nice edge on pocket knives and other small blades. Good addition to any fine-tuning toolbox.
