Great Running Boards
I bought these running boards almost 2 years ago and love the way they look on my jeep. Now for review I didn’t plan on. Back in December someone made a right hand turn from a red light and saw the traffic they had just cut in front of. They never saw me past the large box truck they cut in front of and quickly merged into my lane hitting the jeep. That poor car looked like it went through a war zone but the these running boards (passenger side) took the bulk of the impact and was still in good enough shape to use until the insurance companies finished their part.A new set of the same has been ordered and arriving today!! I can’t wait to get them in place.

A+ Customer service
When I received my order the steps had some pretty bad damage. I contacted the company and I was issued a replacement set and a return label for the first set that will be picked up from my house. The second set I installed and imo look great. I was going to drop a star but the company can't control what happens in shipping. I guess it could have been packaged better but the second set was fine so who knows what these things go through from production to doorstep...Either way Hooke Road made this process very easy and compensated me for the inconvenience.

Great addition to my 2024 Jeep
These rails were very easy to install by myself in around an hour (tips below) - which included time for things like finding the right tools, getting blankets to protect the new rails on the ground, etc. You could get them on even faster with a helper. The instructions were pretty clear as well. The lead time to receive these stated a week but they arrived in two days.My only complaint was that even though the rails seem very well packaged, there must have been some heavy tossing around during transit or at the manufacturer. (see pic) Others have noted this as well. I reached out to Hooke Road and came to a solution for this so I'll be keeping these on. The coating on these seems pretty good but only time and the elements will tell. All in all they'll do great for most everything I'll be doing. I don't plan to do any serious rock crawling and I'm quite certain these wouldn't survive such an encounter. I think they would protect the Jeep but they'd get significantly damaged in the process.Install tips:If you have factory rock rails you can just remove those nuts(6) and bolts(3) quickly and the rail will remain suspended due to the way it's built. Then carefully lift and pull the rails away so the 6 threaded bolts don't file the holes they're in and you don't scratch your body. This isn't a frame mounted kit so I don't think you have to worry about the bolts breaking off, but take your time with it anyway. With the old rails off I set the new rail on a close enough to the Jeep that I could easily reach it, but far enough away so I could still slide under. You'll really just need the three big bolts to get started. I got directly below where the rail would go, then rolled on my side to grab the new rail. I cuddled it like a lover and rolled onto my back again with lying on top of me - it's metallic smell wafting over me. I then bent my legs with the rail on my knees to lift up on the far end of the rail while simultaneously lifting up the near end and aligning the holes. Be careful as you do this as lifting one end too far could cause the rails to hit the body and scratch the paint. Anyway, with your first hole aligned, insert a bolt and tighten it a few turns. Make sure it's seated by pulling down on the rail a little, otherwise it could fall out and whack you like a jaded lover. With the first bolt secured I then did the same with the middle bolt. Once two of the three big bolts are in I tightened them up enough so that I could let the rail hang on those two without any other issues. A quick 180 spin and you can then line up and insert the 3rd big bolt. With the 3 big bolts in you can tighten them up most of the way, but don't tighten them all the way. You'll have to do some slight adjustments to align the 6 other nuts and bolts. Then it's just a game of tightening all the bolts gradually so that the rail is in it's proper place. Repeat the process on the opposite side. Tighten all these up appropriately so they don't come loose. Maybe check them again in a few days to ensure everything is still tight.

Love the look, easy install (by myself), and very sturdy with my larger frame!
I'll share pictures later, but the install was easy and relatively straight forward. I am a bigger guy (200+lbs) and it did take some strength and dexterity to hold them up while getting a couple bolts threaded, but after that, it was very easy, and the second side was 1/2 the time due to the learnings from the first. Overall, about 2 hours total including testing. Just need a blanket and a few tools. I highly recommend!

The design is the reason I bought them but they fail in strength
Mine had some damage the where packaged well but someone in the shipping gave 0 F's that day. I bought these due to the construction flat all the way down not really anywhere to get hung up on a rock I would so the downside is you don't step where the step is it sits to far forward but it is was where it needed to be it would look absolutely janky my only complaint it the plastic plugs at the ends should have been welded in so they are sealed not a big deal to some but it was to me when it got full of of waterUpdate and lowered rating down to 2 pipes are terribly thin I'm in Florida so we don't have rocks at least not many but that's not what bent this rail up it was a log it did its job and kept the jeep safe but if it was to hit any rock this unit would not last a day a day of sliding on anything abrasive or sharp.Since a large log bent this thin tubing up first time it ever hit anything very weakly built

Sweet
Great quality product and easy for shorter people to jump in.Simple install, I used the shipping box to elevate the step while I installed onto my Rubi. It took about twenty minutes per side with this approach. I used the OE fasteners from my rock rails as the quality of the fasteners were superior to those supplied. I’m sure they would have worked but the serrated washers from the OE fasteners completely covered the slots on the steps. I used the supplied fasteners for the side to body mounts and they were good. But be careful as the material is soft and if you over torque the hex may strip.Overall, quality product at a good price!
