Good swing set
Pieces fit well. Good value. I had two damaged pieces. Called the Discovery Company on Monday and received replacements on Saturday. Great service. Took me about 30 hours to assemble. Instructions are fairly straight forward, but a little verbage would be helpful. Mostly pictures. Find a level spot. I spent several hours digging to get playset level.Discovery rep recommended sealing the set to make it last longer.

Overall a great little swing set, watch for variations in price
I normally don’t do product reviews but know how important they were to me when deciding to spend this much money on a swing set. So, here it goes:We purchased this swing set for about $550 plus tax. We think it is very good quality for that price but would not pay more for it. I saw that it is now about $1,000 and I personally think we would have been disappointed in the quality of the item for that price. My husband and grandpa, both very handy and bearing their own sets of power tools, put this together in about 9 hours. We downloaded the Bilt app, but found the written instructions to be more than sufficient. You need power tools and a few other tools to put this together, so keep that in mind when purchasing. When it is finished, it looks exactly like it is advertised. It is the absolute perfect size for our two year old son, and we foresee him getting about 4 more years of play out of it. It is advertised for up to age 10, but I personally think 6 or 7 years old is about the cut off for the size. The wood is cedar, which my husband says is a wood that should last over time pretty well. It is a little soft when putting the set together, and they split numerous pieces during assembly. Luckily, it didn’t affect the overall sturdiness of the set because most of the split pieces were more decorative than structural. When putting the set together, there was a time when my husband and I both had to be up in the fort area putting it together and putting the tarp on. The boards held our combined weight but you could hear that they were not happy about it, as they kept creaking and it made me worry a little that we were going to bust it before it was even finished. My son always wants me to climb up in the fort with him to play and I do, but the boards still creak quite a bit, when with just he and I.Another thing to keep in mind is that they recommend water sealing the set once a year. Not a big deal, just an added step in the upkeep of a wood swing set.Overall, my son absolutely ADORES this swing set. When I open the blinds in the morning and he sees the set, he immediately starts begging to go outside. We are extremely happy with our purchase for the price we paid for it. It is the perfect size for our 2 year old and will be used a lot over the next few years. Again, I would watch the price and try to get it for as cheaply as possible. It seems the price ranges greatly and we were able to purchase it for about $550.

Quality for price as expected
We bought this for my daughter's second birthday after reading many reviews. We were limited on space, so this configuration worked best in the intended area. For the price, the quality is as expected. A couple pieces of wood split during construction, specifically on the rock wall climber which is disappointing. Also, the slide came with a scratch deep enough to cause a small but sharp bump on the sliding side, which needs to be filed down. The slide is not one piece, it comes as two rails and a thick plastic board that gets bent into the rails, which to me was a bit cheap feeling. Overall construction took around 7/8 hours for two adults, and was manageable. The app/video directions were great visually but we found they did not always match the book/manual directions which were more accurate. For example, the numbers on the hardware were different, or certain wood pieces had different pre drilled holes. Therefore we had to cross reference and make an educated guess a few timesOverall, our daughter thinks it's great and that's what really matters. Time will tell how the materials hold up through the seasons, and we will be weather sealing it yearly.

Waste of Money and Time
I never leave reviews; good or bad. But the experience of purchasing this item can’t go without comment. We purchased this in late August for our son’s birthday which was in mid October. Plenty of time to receive it, put it together, and let him enjoy before cold weather hit the Midwest. We were surprised at how quickly it arrived; less than a week. However it has been a disaster since that point. We received three large boxes. However we quickly realized we were missing parts. One of the parts was missing for the very first step to put it together actually. After doing some inventory, we realized we were missing over 100+ parts, wood and hardware. We contacted customer service and they advised they would be sending the missing parts. I provided a detailed list, including all missing parts, part numbers, and quantity missing according to instructions. They were quick to ship the parts. However, again, we were STILL missing parts, 20+ this time. We contacted customer service again, not as nicely this time. They apologized and offered a $200 gift card. I was still frustrated, but appreciated the goodwill to make things right. Now we finally had all the parts to put this monstrosity together. Noticed yet more problems. The wood is of poor quality. Half the pieces are warped. Some of the pieces split when drilling them together. Some of the wood isn’t even the same color.Don’t make the same mistake we did. DO NOT purchase this. I may just be one unlucky bloke. But I would not recommend this product to my worst enemy, well maybe them. We now have the equivalent of $800 worth of firewood.
