Did not expect such amazing quality in glove liners. A+++++
I purchased the large and was surprised how good these are. I love it when I make a purchase for practical reasons and then am surprised by the quality of the product. So I was a little concerned that my (very slightly) longer fingers would fit comfortably in these glove liners. I wanted something to take the chill of the mornings off when I go hiking or camping. To my surprise these fit so well it was like the company custom tailored them to fit me perfectly. I may have to buy a second pair just to have around the car just in case. For all intensive purposes, I have very average adult hands. I am at a computer all day and was not born with thick "saussage fingers" some people in physical labor develop. I would guess if you do have very large hands, these are not for you. I have normal adult fingers for a 190 lb male, and I do know my middle and ring fingers are about 2mm longer than some people. I know this because gloves in the past have just been on the line of uncomfortable for me. The large glove size is perfect for the average adult male. It would most likely be perfect for females with the same length of fingers as well. I could feel the warmth of the smart wool immediately upon putting them on. A little too warm on a day you dont need them. I was pleasantly surprised to find that you can use smart phone touch screens with them. Pardon my lack of research before buying but I did not have much as far as expectations on a pair of cheap liners. The quality is excellent. No random fibers or threads sticking out. The stitching is both solid and extremely comfortable. You do not feel the stitching on the inside like other products. I am very impressed. I can see why these merit the high online ratings they are receiving. This company has put a lot of craftsmanship into something so simple. They are very light weight, they cover your wrist about 3" below your hand. They are warm, extremely comfortable like Teletubbies are hugging your hands, and made to perfection. Very well done. Didn't expect to be writing such a stellar review about these.

Finally, excellent glove liners that keep my hands warm
Finally, the perfect glove liners that actually keep my hands warm. I've sent two other brands back and searched the local stores on my quest for quality glove liners and these are definitely what I've been searching for. They work farely well with cell phone typing but that's of little importance to me. The fingers are a bit long for my hands but I can just slide the glove fingers back a bit for a nice fit and they hold that position. I see this as a benefit in case they shrink. I ordered the biggest size they had for my extra large male hands and the gloves fit just right. Appear to be well made and they look great. I'll be buying more of these for gifts. Ignore the naysayers, these are brilliant gloves.

Sizes run exceptionally large
As others have mentioned, these run really large. I had purchased tech compatible liner gloves from another brand first. I am female with long fingers. The large size was too large and the medium was too small. So I switched to these smart wool liners and ordered the medium. It was even larger than the large in the other brand. For my final try, I ordered the small and the x-small hoping one of these two would fit. The small is still a little large than my fingers - which is important if you are planning to use these as liner gloves inside waterproof gloves. The x-small fit the best, but was ever so slightly tight and I worried about shrinkage. So ultimately I kept the pair of small, but as my husband mentioned - my hands are by no means "small". On the plus side, the tech compatibility with these gloves is fantastic - even better than the other brand I tried originally. I could easily use the screen on my smart phone with any finger in these gloves. I am taking these to Antarctica next week, so I have not had a chance to evaluate their warmth factor as liners inside my waterproof gloves but it has been 25 degrees here at home and they feel quite warm and comfortable when worn alone.

Good enough for 5 stars.
I chose "fit as expected". I ordered size M without actually measuring my hand. It's a snug fit, though I wouldn't call it "too small" or even "somewhat small". I think it's just about the way a glove is supposed to fit. Nice and snug. Thin material as expected, and provides sufficient warmth that corresponds to that expectation. The fabric does "pill" when it comes in contact with velcro (which is pretty frequent, given I'm using these with other outerwear, much of which has velcro), but I don't find the pilling to have much of an impact on the utility of the gloves. I recognize these might only last one season, two if I'm lucky, but my view is you pay for what you get. I paid $24 which actually may be too much for just 2 seasons of use. But the ratings were good and my other options weren't so appealing. I'll buy them again next year at that price if I have to, which is a statement.

5-stars for sure
Smartwool did a nice job here. Fine as cool weather gloves alone but will let the breeze through. Great as glove liners (as they should be) and provided a nice amount of extra insulation on the slopes (temps 19-30 degrees F). No trapped moisture. Could easily see these as Nordic gloves in a pinch. Fit was what you would expect. Product arrived on time and the product exceeded expectations.

Nice gloves but run very large. Bought them for myself but they fit my hubby better.

True to their word, can be used on a touch screen phone/tablet too so no need to get your hand cold with these bad boys! Not a favourite colour but they do the job and priced very very reasonably. Will recommend this product. Would also buy again in another colour.

Valeria
