Top-Tier Gear Oil That Delivers Smooth, Quiet Performance
I recently used Liqui Moly Gear Oil for a rear differential fluid change, and I’m seriously impressed with the results. From the moment I opened the container, I could tell this was a high-quality product. It has that signature Liqui Moly consistency—clean, thick, and formulated to do the job right. After changing out the old fluid and replacing it with this, I immediately noticed a difference. The gears run quieter, and shifting feels smoother—especially under load or when the vehicle’s cold. I’ve driven about 1,000 miles since the change, and performance has remained consistent, even in varying temperatures. One thing I really appreciate is the built-in additive package. Liqui Moly’s reputation for advanced formulas holds true here—it protects against wear, resists foaming, and keeps the differential cool, even during long hauls or heavy towing.Pouring it was simple with the well-designed bottle and spout—no mess, no waste. And yes, it's a bit more expensive than generic gear oil, but the peace of mind and improved performance are absolutely worth it.If you’re serious about maintenance and want long-lasting protection for your transmission or differential, Liqui Moly Gear Oil is a no-brainer. It’s German-engineered excellence in a bottle

Solid product.
Just like the description says. Used it in my Evolution Golf cart and was just right for the job.

This Is True GL-4 Gear Oil
I used this for the gear oil in my Pinzgauer, and it is working beautifully. It's true GL-4, which is hard to come by these days. Most of the time bottles will say GL-4 / GL-5 which is NOT GL-4. You have to use GL-4 oil on gearboxes that have yellow metal (like brass) or the components will degrade over time. In a Pinzgauer, be sure to use this oil in the transfer case and the transmission. The differentials and portal boxes can take GL-5.

2015 Chrysler T&C with 224,000 miles
I just purchased a 2015 Chrysler Town and Country touring edition. It currently has 224, 000 miles. I bought this product and followed instructions. I ran this product on newer oil roughly 400 miles on it and ran it for 10 minutes in between 1500 rpm and 2,000 rpm. This van had a lifter knock. Not bad but noticeable. I drained the oil. It was kinda brown but still could tell it was newer oil. Mind you bottle states run for 10 minutes or longer. I only ran for 10 minutes because you do not want this cleaning your engine to quick. I then put new oil back in. I purchased Valvoline Restore and protect. The only oil that has lab data to prove it also cleans piston rings, time chain guides etc. I started up my van.....the knock was there for 3 minutes and disappeared and purs like a kitten. I will run for 300 miles and change the oil filter so it doesn't get clogged or over worked. I highly recommend this product if used correctly, do not over run the time of 10 minutes or the rpms. But the biggest factor is valentine restore and protect. I watch the engine oil geek on youtube. Please watch his videos. I will look in to the fuel additive this company makes to see if it has polyetheramine which is the strongest detergent to use in cleaning carbon build up.

Works just fine
I used this oil to service the differential in a VW 01M transmission that was in working order (despite being slightly low on fluid after 18 years/170k miles of service). This is not the synthetic GL4 I originally set out to use, but it seems to be doing just fine in the low load application of my car. I have not noticed any leaks after a few thousand miles, so all seems to be well. My application did not require the full 1L and the nozzle worked well enough to complete my service.

You can feel the difference
Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Also yes. Added to transmission in a 1997 Subaru Sambar and within the first few minutes it was apparent that it improved the transmissions performance. Quieter with smooth shift performance. Love it. Bottle has easy fill applicator hose too meaning I didn't need a transfer pump to reach the oddly placed fill on my vehicle. 10/10
