Amazing, beautiful and perfect!
This is such a great little bento box! Got this for my daughter for Christmas. She LOVES it! It is pretty small, just in case you're looking for something larger, but based on the other reviews, I was expecting that. It works perfect for her since she only has so much time during lunch to eat anyway, and honestly, she's able to fit quite a bit in there! She loves that there is a little separator in the top section (or you can move it to any of the three 'containers') so she can keep two different items in one container without them mixing or she can put her little containers of soy sauce in there without getting food all over them before she uses them. The container itself is beautifully crafted, the colors bright and the details are great! They are some sort of plastic material, but honestly, in person they look like wood unless you look to close or inside. The chopsticks are excellent quality as well. I just adore how this set sets together and though I was worried about how it was stay together without the containers falling out since there are no sides, now that I've seen it in person, I'm not worried about this. I still do know how it works so well, but it does and we wiggled and tested this and those containers are not going anywhere during travel! All in all, this is a great bento box. Maybe not if you need something larger, but honestly, this should be enough for just about anyone!

Very tiny cute bento box
This bento box is much smaller than expected but since it has 3 layers believe it will hold a generous amount of food. The red is not as bright as shown so that was disappointing, and the dishes do not have seals to snap in place, but a rubber band is included. The chopsticks case does not stay closed. The material does not seem to be very durable. This item might be more useful as decoration rather than carrying food.

Small but very functional
Okay, yes, it is small and even smaller than I anticipated, but it's ADORABLE and you can still pack a ton of food in there. I highly suggest that you use this BENTO box as a BENTO box. Get some bento recipes because then you will be able to cram a TON of food in here. Sorry about the mess in my photos, but some of it can help show the size. This is the lunch that I've packed myself today. It's a bit over a 1/2 c of rice, 3-4 pieces of thinly sliced pork, 1 carrot, and 2 Chips Ahoy! cookies. That's more than enough food for me for lunch. I also really like this because I have a messanger bag as a backpack and this fits PERFECTLY in there whereas regular tupperware does not. This product is not dishwasher or microwave safe so make sure whatever you put in here, you won't want heated up later on. Overall, I LOVE this bento box. It's perfect for me!

This really is a tiny bento, but don't let that turn you away!
It's tiny...or should I say, 'compact.' Let's be honest here - it holds just about the same amount of food as your average 2-tier bento. When you lay out all three compartments side by side, you get a space that's about 9x7 inches, and a little over an inch deep. That's about the amount of space that you'd normally fill up on a 10-inch dinner plate (I mean, a 10-inch plate doesn't mean you stack food all the way to the edge...there's a brim!).That being said, I'm about 300 lbs and I packed plenty of food in here to fill me up for lunch. A compartment of rice, a compartment of two kinds of veggies, and a compartment of meat with a couple of bites of sweets (candy or fruit). You may WANT more and you can surely EAT more, but unless you're a 250 lbs. linebacker taking this to football practice (unlikely) you won't be hungry when you're done eating it.Order it, and then PACK it. Don't just look at it. It looks REALLY small, but you can definitely put enough food in there to feed an adult even of my size quite adequately. The only reason that I give it a star off is for the two design flaws.-Chopsticks: They're super skinny and made of a slick and cheap plastic. The space cut out in the end is not big enough to fit regular chopsticks in, so I can't fit my own good chopsticks in it. If they would widen the openings for the chopsticks to go in, I could surely fit in my favorite pair which are of much better quality. As you can see from the design, the chopsticks are a must to hold the box on the stand so I bring two pairs which makes me feel silly.-Seperators: Folks who know bentos know what I'm talking about here. There is usually a plastic lid on top of each compartment to keep them all separate. Sadly, this box has none. It seals adequately with the strap, however without those lids it means that the bottom of two of your containers will always get some food on it and you'll have to wipe it off before setting it on the table or you'll leave a food smear on the table. All in all, I really like this box. It came as described, is absolutely adorable, and holds as much food as any of my other bentos (just in a taller, skinnier container). The two setbacks are the cheap chopsticks that cannot be replaced, and the lack of separators between containers. Other than that, I think it's adorable and I'll be enjoying it for a long time!

Doll sized
If this is a bento box it's ment for a elementary child, if even that. All three compartments don't even make one full serving for a meal, unless you are on a fasting diet where you are better off eatting air than what you can fit in this bento.
