Elegant
I did a project for my daughter’ wedding as favors. I used these DMC to do embroidery. Best thread and the shiny color is great. Every one compliments the color.

Gorgeous thread
Value is great. Durability awesome, color is OMG beautiful, doesn't tangle, but too bad it won't work in a sewing machine.

Gorgeoue Metallic Gold Thread...But Unravels
This gold metallic thread is beautiful, shiny gold...but it starts to unravel, while hand-sewing a quilt. I purchased it specifically for hand-sewing only. The thread also started separating into two strands, after threading the needle. The gold metallic hand-stitching looks beautiful, shiny gold in color, but I am worried about the quality of this threead and wonder if it will last as long as this brand new quilt that I am hand- sewing. I do not recommend using this thread in a sewing machine, since it starts to unravel while hand-sewing while being pulled through the cotton fabric. I am wondering what the manufacturer was thinking when creating sewing thread that unravels and starts to fallpp apart during hand- sewing.

Great product
I used this to hand stitch some quilted stockings for Christmas. It added a little shimmer without becoming too distracting from the design of the fabrics. It frays a bit while trying to thread the needle, and is not a soft thread, but it works perfect for some extra special touches to your fiber arts. It’s a little expensive here compared to other websites, but we have a newborn and we’re happy to pay for the convenience.

Best metallic thread I've used so far
I used this thread for hand embroidering. Usually metallic accent thread will rip or curl or fray very quickly but not this stuff. In feel, it was like working with regular non metallic thread. I loved how easy it was to use, no fussing. Will end up buying other colors as well, it was so wonderful to work with. It is slightly thicker than any other metallic thread I've used but I think that helped with sturdiness and it made it show up in my work with less effort. It has a nice golden gleam to it.

Pretty but difficult to use in cross-stitch
The thread is very pretty, but extremely thin. I had to cut three separate stands and combine them to use in a cross-stitch project. The shorter the thread is cut, the better it is to use. However, it is difficult to keep the three stands together while stitching, and each stitch must be double checked to ensure taunt evenness.Immediately after threading a needle, the individual stands start to fray apart, making it almost impossible to re-thread the needle if it slips out, which happens quite easily. The thread has wire in it, so it is not soft to the touch like regular thread. The metallic color begins to flake off the more the thread is manipulated, so caution must be taken not to bend it repeatedly.Overall, I like the look of it but I don't think I'd buy it again due to the many difficulties that come with attempting to sew with it.

DMC Diamant Metallic
This thread works fine for me. Easy to work with, nice sheen to it. Glides easy, but best not to make it too long when threading..can possibly twist and knot when sewing. Pleased with it…
