We are new to camping in a transporter t5.1 so collecting all the gear up for our travels. We bought this drive away awning kit to fit our newly purchased sunncamp 250 awning. It has been used once in no wind but some heavy rain. So it was easy to install and works great with our awning, we didn’t notice any drips over the van side door which are quite common where the figure of 8 meet. Really sturdy when taught. Great buy.

Worked well for connecting my awning to my van but first use cracked the ends of the plastic connecting bars. No idea how or why.

Nice simple compact van awning connection kit. Having fitted a 3m c section bar to the roof of my van I needed the connection fabric strip and figure of eight joining bars. This kit was well priced, simple to install and have proven robust in even very high winds experienced when camping on dartmoor. Weve used to connect a vw t4 camper to a vango airbeam awning. This awning connector kit is flexible enough to work with other c bars as it has both 4mm and 6mm beading. This isn't found on some other kits and was a key part of my decision as I wasn't sure which size I would have fitted to the van.

There is not enough information with this item, we didn't realise you also need to attach a c fitment to the van which is another £25 ish

Good value

Writing this review to inform potential purchasers that you’ll need to spend an additional £20-£30 to obtain a C Channel rail to fit to your van and this involves drill and screwing which many of you don’t fancy doing! This is not made clear when ordering this product and I’ve had to do my own research and am now getting close to my trip date and may struggle to get a C channel to arrive and get fitted in time

Recieved promptly well packaged, looks good not used as yet but looks to fit my needs
