Humble Bee 410 Polycotton Beekeeping Suit with Round Veil

Great suit . . This is why you spend a little more for a suit with metal zippers than one with plastic .

The zippers are strong and good quality. The material feels cheaper, but I haven't had any stings yet so I guess it's working. I gave this suit a 4/5 for "value for money" because I think you'd be better off to "buy once; cry once," getting a 3-layer ventilated suit. They appear to have better protection and are way more breathable.

This Bee Suit seems well thought out and I was able to use a weed Wacker around and in-between, about 10 hives of bees without getting stung. Yes, I did get the suit dirty, however that should have minimal to no impact on usability unless you physically damage the suit. With the additional purchase of bee gloves and water boots even the ones that took an interest in flying around my head could not get to me. Please note however, if the mesh is in contact with your skin in the head area of the suit that means bees can come into contact and inevitable sting you so use some degree of caution. The round veil is actually detachable move both zippers to the front facing left or rear facing right to then slowly lift off the veil. This will then give you the ability to machine wash the suit and hand wash the veil after each use or as necessary. Remember this item does not come with gloves to adequate bee gloves are necessary unless your ok with a few hand stings and pepper shoe attire to protect your feet. I have moved away from the hive with a bee stuck to the side of the suit so it may also be possible to get stung through it however the aggressive honey bees I deal with have not stung me as of yet with the bee suite, gloves and water boots.

Material is great just runs very small. If your legs are super thin then it will be perfect. If you have thick thighs, get a bigger size.

As a pest control technician, I am called many times to take care of wild bees. It's easy to suit up and the overlap provides excellent protection. The zippers can get caught if your not careful, but that doesn't detract from the overall quality.

I purchased this to remove a huge yellow jacket nest from my attic, worked awesome and not 1 sting! Quality very good, zippers heavy duty, I'm happy with the quality and price point.. I'm glad I didnt buy the cheaper suit!

I bought an XL suit. I am 5 ft. 10 in., 30 in. inseam, 200+ lbs. The extra large (XL) fits, but it is a little tight in the inseam and shoulders. The next size up would have been better. You will need to wear pants and a long sleeve shirt under the suit, as the suit-fabric is not super thick. Buying a size up (see the size chart in the product pictures) will allow for the extra clothing and what seems to be the odd sizing of the suit. You will need to purchase gloves separately.

the quality of the product is great, i got the XXL size since I'm somewhat tall and the suit fits great. the veil, would keep my one year old's head safe in it. no mater how much I adjusted either my ears of nose is touching the veil. first time working my hives got stung on my nose which hurts a lot, looking to get a different veil for the suit as I don't want to return it, but the brass zipper is a different tooth ratio to most of the veils I have found out there. Sure whish this veil was larger like the suit.
