A Surprisingly Great Upgrade!
I didn’t expect to be so impressed by a toilet seat, but here we are. This Kohler model is well worth the upgrade. First off, installation was a breeze—literally took me less than 10 minutes, and I’m not especially handy. The ReadyLatch system clicks into place securely, and the included hardware felt sturdy. The seat itself feels solid and well-made. The quiet-close lid is a game-changer (no more slamming noises in the middle of the night), and the contoured shape is actually more comfortable than the standard flat seats we had before. The grip-tight bumpers keep everything stable—no shifting around, even after weeks of use.It looks sleek and clean in our bathroom, and the white finish matches our toilet perfectly. Honestly, this is one of those small upgrades that makes a big difference. Highly recommend if you're looking for comfort, quality, and no-hassle installation.

Sturdy seat with soft-close feature for seat and lid!
This is a review for the KOHLER 4636-RL-0 Cachet ReadyLatch Elongated Toilet Seat. The Good: Everything. The Bad: The instructions. The Ugly: Seriously, the instructions. The Kohler ReadyLatch toilet seat is a really nice piece of work. It features a slow, soft-closing lid and seat as well. The material is plastic, but it has a good thickness and feels very firm under me when I sit down. I'm 6'2" and 280lbs currently, and there's not even any flex from the seat as I sit down. *Very* sturdy, indeed. The color is a basic white, just like the porcelain on most toilets, so it matches just fine. I have to give props to their packaging. Before you even open the package, it shows you the measurements and warns you to double check and make sure it'll fit on your toilet (and that you didn't order the wrong shape for your toilet!).That being said, the only downside was the instructions - there really wasn't much of any. I've taken off and put on a lot of toilet seats in my time, and they're all pretty straight forward - pop the tab on the top, grab the nut on the underside, use a screw driver to unscrew the plastic bolt from the nut, repeat on the other side, and job's halfway done. Reverse it to install. No problem, right? Wrong! This Kohler had a rubber encased wing nut with a tube that flared out at the end into a flat donut. What...the...okay! Let's check instructions...uhhh...nope...okay, *sigh* let's ask the Internet. Bingo. After hunting around the first couple search results, I found a gentleman installing one - on YouTube.I had to sit through five minutes of someone talking about their toilet and the seat, how their seat had a crack in it, etc etc etc, until suddenly he shows me the secret! FOLD THE WINGNUT SIDEWAYS AGAINST THE TUBE, SLIP IT DOWN THROUGH THE BOLT HOLE ON THE TOILET!!!After that, the install was very simple and straight forward. Position the toilet seat over the two bolt holes (now with a rubber tube installed and a wing nut hanging down on the other side) and install the two bolts that come with the lid.Final Thoughts: I've been using it now for a bit, and I have to say - it's different from my other lids, but I really like the design, fit and the angle of it. It's comfortable, but not "sit on the pot and watch funny cat videos" comfortable. Overall, I'd say it's competitively priced, and well worth the money.

Easy to install and good quality
Easy to install , slow close , good design. A little expensive as compared to other brands but the difference is clear. This does not come with a tool so you will need a screw driver to install. The box comes with a scale so you can check if it will fit your toilet seat. This was a good feature in my opinion

So far, so good!
I put this in on Sunday, it's now Tuesday. So far I'm very happy with this. Installation was a little fiddly, but overall the instructions were easy to read and follow. We originally had the cheapest Kohler model with quiet close as a replacement for a few months. Seems there was a piece missing that allowed the pins holding the seat and lid to the hinges to stay in place, and they kept popping off. Disappointing, but though it was twice the price and had to be replaced very, very soon after getting the first, so far I am very pleased with this one. It seems a lot sturdier, and is way more comfortable. Two things to note: the easy mount anchors were super easy to install, however the screw on the second one did require me sticking my hand into the tank to make sure it was aligned. For some reason it was on an angle and the screw went through the side instead of straight down and would not catch. Took a little bit of fiddling to get it to line up properly. Easy enough to fix if not slightly annoying. Overall a much better installation than the old way.The other "issue" was that the quick release is VERY snug, and I had to pull so hard I was afraid it would break, but it did end up popping off and going back on rather easily. I'm hoping it loosens up a bit more with repeated removals so that I don't feel like I'm breaking something each time.

Great response.
Had a problem with broken seat. Called Kroger Friday and received a new one on Monday. Very pleased. 5 stars.

Premium Quality Not Ideal For Larger Folks In My Opinion.
This toilet seat is really great. It has a premium look and feel to it. The soft close works perfectly, and the rubber on the bottom of the seat; keeps it nice and centered for the most wild rides lol. It does have a “bowl shape” to the seat. Not super comfortable for people who are larger than average, but it’s a really nice toilet seat.

Could be better, but it works.
The seat is easy to install and looks good. My complaints are that the top is different white (more yellow) than the seat, which is a bit strange since they are both plastic. Also, the lid can wiggle side to side when it's lifted, so that feels cheap. I am glad that the seat doesn't flex too much if you sit on it though. That's important. I also like the quick release system and the slow close. I wish they made a version of this seat with an open u-shaped seat like in commercial bathrooms.
