It took me less than an hour to assemble these tables, but I do have a little Black and Decker power screwdriver, which made it simpler.All you need is a Phillips head screwdriver and a little patience. The instructions are a pictogram, but just slow down and look carefully at the pictures, because they really do illustrate what you need to know. I ran the smallest screws (which hold the drawer tracks) in and out to open the holes, which were barely drilled. Please tread lightly when screwing in the posts. They are much stronger than the faux wood, and if you're going to damage the finish this is where it will happen, although all such joints are on the inside or the bottom so it won't show, anyway. I found it easier to finish with the table upside-down on the kitchen counter, as it made it easier to see what I was doing. Also, one piece-label sticker was on the front of the table, where it would show. If this happens to you, don't get excited and start picking at it with a fingernail, because you will probably scratch the table. Remember that stickers are why God made Goo-Gone. But here again, tread lightly so you don't remove finish along with the sticker.The finished product is level, has no gaps, and seems fairly sturdy, enough for an end table, anyway.Overall, for the price this is all good.

The table arrived in a tightly packaged box. It took three hours for two 70'ish adults with modest experience putting together do-it-yourself furniture. The end result is a sturdy and nice looking end table. Our suggestions for approaching this task are to CAREULLY: 1. sort out all the parts, 2. follow the picture guidelines which include no words but are clear and logical, 3. once one vertical side is done, add the shelves & then, 4. add the other vertical side, 5. put the top on, 6. and then finish up with the drawer.It is easy to attach the drawer slides but pay close attention to the drawings. As other reviewers have noted, the drawer does slide in too far. This can be easily remedied.We used a simple Phillips screwdriver. It would have been much easier with a power tool but not necessary. However, a magnetized screw driver would have helped.

I bought 2 of these end tables for my home office/prayer room. The space intended for them was very small and narrow, as this room is the smallest one in the house. The tables fit perfectly. I chose the black color to match my decor. The material has a very nice sheen to it and I love the fact that there are two shelves for my decor. The little drawer is sturdy and of a nice size.Another buyer indicated that there was a bad odor that he or she detected from the tables, but I did not have this problem. The tables are beautiful and sturdy and appear as advertised. I'm very glad that I bought them, and I have no regrets. The tables were packed securely and none of the parts were damaged.My only complaint would have to be because of the instructions provided. To be honest, I'm not the most handy person, but I can follow simple directions when it comes to assembling furniture. The instructions provided for these tables were frustrating and hard to deal with, perhaps because I am a reader, and there were no words.So, long story short, I love the product, but I hated the instructions. :)

The booklet says one person can put this together. I've put several items, shelves etc. together by myself but this was definitely difficult for one. The directions included are very vague. You must look at a diagram with only letters and numbers on the pictures. It would have been clearer if some dialogue had been included with a more step by step approach. I spent at least 6 hours completing the task!!!!!

They look great and were exactly what i wanted, i did have an issue with one of the drawers not lining up correctly, but the other one was completely fine. the drawers are a little on the smaller side.

Exactly what I was looking for. I needed a small, narrow side table with shelves and a drawer. Love how heavy and sturdy this table is, love the rich, dark stain color and the brass knob on the drawer gives the table a very classy look. The only downside for me was a very complicated assembly. The directions were just pictures and if it hadn’t been for my very handy husband I would not have been able to do this myself. Even though he was able to navigate the instructions pretty well it still took him 2 hours and several times it took both of us, one to hold and one to screw. So in my opinion, a very difficult assembly process.

I ordered this particular table because there were lots of great reviews. Unfortunately, the one we got seems to have issues with the placement of the guide rails for the drawer. We can get the drawer to closes, but the top of the drawer hits the top of the table. So, to get the drawer to close, we have to push down to get it to fit under the lip of the table. We tried all sorts of adjustments to see if loosening or tightening the screws would help, but to no avail. The pre-drilled holes for the railings seem to be off by 1/8 of an inch. It's disappointing, but it's for my daughter and she doesn't care enough to want to send it back. Everyone else who has posted reviews seems to love this table. I wish our experience had been similar.

Love this piece as it filled a very narrow space. Great value for the money. Easy to assemble (FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY). My only issue is the drawer, while it works, it is a bit off. It slides in way too far (and I triple checked). It was not a bit deal, but obviously you want it to be perfect. Well built and sturdy. Can get lots of stuff neatly stowed away. I gave it 4 stars vs 5 because this drawer issue seems to be pretty common from other reviews I read after the fact. Worth buying.

I had a very small area beside the guest double bed so needed something narrow. This fit perfectly and the quality is great. It looks very nice and is exactly perfect. There was one small glitch which I think was due to assembly and that is the drawer when pushed in, goes too far in - an additional 1 in. It can simply be pulled out that 1 in. to line up correctly.

The unit assembles easily and fits the narrow area between couches well.

Build quality is poor.Arrived damaged.Will not be ordering any more furniture made in China.
