ACDelco Gold 18FR746 (19140997) Front Driver Side Disc Brake Caliper Assembly (Friction Ready Non-Coated)

The best part of this product is that is OEM!!! AC Delco, made a direct replacement and it is nothing like OEM, unless you are a customizer, but this was price correct, fit correct and took very little time to install. Amazon, thanks for being there for the small guys who can do their own work on their own vehicles. This was a life saver when it arrived the following day after ordering. Having a vehicle in a shop for 3 to 5 days is time consuming. Dismantled in a few hours, order the part, received it the next day, install it on that day and was ready to go. Awesome!!!

Perfect fit- as one would expect from ACDelco. This is the OEM series that the dealers stock, at a fraction of their price... great rebate, too. These ended up being cheaper than off-brand remans with a sketchy reputation. One of my two ended up being the coated version, one was the non-coated- so you never know, maybe they'll send the upgraded version. All the hardware is there, but not enough grease- have some on hand for installation.

AC Delco parts are high quality, factory parts. Once again the part fits exactly the way it's supposed to. Caliper comes with the mounting bolts and sleeves. I also got AC Delco pads which come with a couple of packets of silicone grease and new caliper boots.

Works great just like it should. Not sure why but this was silver and should’ve been black, there’s only 1 set like this on all of Amazon with only 1 digit difference from passenger side that came black. This one didn’t have the hardware in the caliper, the other one did, this one was missing the bolt For the brake line that the other side came with, came in a completely different style box with like it was packed to be sold in China with Chinese writing on the box. Had I ordered just this caliper I wouldn’t have even thought anything, but looking at the way the other caliper came out almost looks like this may have been installed previously and cleaned up

I have no words for ac delco in this case. This quality is poor to bad. The cap seals do not fit or stay on. One was not made properly, as you can see in the picture, and that was after spending 20 minutes cleaning all the excess rubber out of it. The seals were not installed properly. The corrosion, which the pictures do not do it justice, makes me wonder how they let it through. Structural probably fine, but looks as though someone beat on it with a 40lb ball peen hammer after sitting in the ocean for 20 years. There are still deep corrosion pits that were not removed, nor can they be because they are too deep. over all quality was not there. And where’s the grease for the bushings?... Beyond that I think I am going to send this back. Edit. Contacted Amazon through their chat option, in less than 5 minutes an exchange one was ordered for me with expedited shipping at no cost. Great service from Amazon! Update. The replacement unit is looks good. But again the slider seals were unusable. They are not made right, too much excess rubber in the casting mould. Had to use other slider seals. Which were ac delco, and we’re fine. But how they let it go from the oh shop with these seals is beyond me. They don’t fit on and sit on at an angle. They don’t even look right. Anyway. Back in business and happy enough. Edit. Been 6 months now, working fine. Daily driver.
