EDIT: The mistake was mine! This does support surround via HDMI, it was a switch I was using that caused the problem! I hooked it directly to the sound bar and it worked like a charm! Upped my star rating to 5 stars. Granted, I've only had it for a few days, but it's working well and is just what it claimed to be. Very fast boot up, Windows set up was a breeze, and it's quite fast for a lower-priced machine. This machine will likely be fine for folks who would like to do basic computing/web browsing, playing games (though likely not high-intensity games, this is hardly a gaming PC) and watching movies via HDMI to a projector.

I've been using my TC-895 desktop since Black Friday of 2020. I'm still loving it 5 years later! I started building my own computers back in the 90's and continued up until this Acer. I don't game on a desktop PC any longer, I use PS5 and Series X for that, so this desktop checks all the boxes. It's super quiet, fast, energy efficient, and allowed me to perform upgrades that were important to me, like bringing the RAM up to 24GB, adding a 1TB SSD internally, and adding a 3TB mechanical WD drive as well. No complaints out of me and I'd definitely recommend this to anyone thinking about it! On a side note, a traditional, horizontal DVD drive would've been preferable, but I know that would've increased the cost and made for a bigger case. I don't use discs much these days, so not a big deal.

First of all let me say that I was gifted an IMAC last year for Christmas. I never really got the hang of it and I recently traded it in to a company called Sellyourmac.com. With the money I received I decided to by this computer and I'm so glad I did. I find that windows products are very simple to use and the price was very reasonable. Unfortunately I had 2 negatives. Number one you need to get some sort of speaker..I got a 20 dollar sound bar on Amazon. Two ..although the keyboard is a decent size you can barely see the characters because they are grayish in color..I had to buy a backlit keyboard and got it with RGB. With that said the mouse is basic but it does the job. I will plan to get a wireless mouse to fit my huge hand. All in all it works beautifully and it comes with Norton, Dropbox and windows 10 installed. NO CAMERA!!! It also comes with a DVD player which is old school but greatly appreciated. In the future I may get a gaming graphics card as an upgrade to the system.. You won't be disappointed.

I’ve had this computer for a good long time. Still fast and clean. Flawless.

i got this pc to do schoolwork and play games. i ran java minecraft today and it works good. no lag or anything and also played on servers. overall, the pc is good with basic stuff, i’m assuming. probably not good for big gaming but it’s really quick and definitely worth the $$! it’s also small and was super easy to setup.

Got this as an upgrade for an old laptop. Easy to put together. Plenty of upgrade potential. Quiet. So very quiet. Fast. Restarts in about 12 seconds without an update. Photoshop and Illustrator load fast and can now handle the latest update. Smooth gaming. No funky smells. Compact, so doesn't take up as much space. Affordable. Worth the money.

My son convinced me to rid myself of a all in one desk computer because it was very slow. We went online to search for an affordable traditional desktop. I bought the Acer and added an Acer monitor. First thing I noticed is how fast the Acer is. I’ve had no problems of any kind since I bought it a couple of months ago. I later bought a pair of speakers and the sound quality is also good. This computer is was a good bargain, and I’m glad I listened to my son!

I use this computer for an online business from my home. THERE IS NOT ONE THING I DO NOT LIKE ABOUT IT!! It is fast. It is quiet. I don't even know it is on. I hear no fan sounds or anything but the start up "beep" which is very low. And when I do start it up, it is on my login-in page in five seconds or less. Whether I put it to sleep, hibernation mode or completely shut down, it happens in mere seconds. My last computer required 45 seconds +/- to accomplish the same. I like the design of it and it appears to be very well made. It has many USB ports which accommodate all of my peripherals. I never before had an HDMI port and this makes the picture super clear on my 27" 4K Acer monitor. I am simply thrilled with this PC and I know it will be around for a long time! Would I buy it again? YES!!!!!

Used for general purpose computing. Nice design in convenient sized case. Keyboard way too small. I3 processor provides good performance for general purpose needs. Like the performance of the M2 NVME SSD. Case has no provision for VGA connection, so owners of older monitors like me will have to buy a VGA to HDMI adapter. Runs virtually without noise except when using the horrible slimline DVD/CD drive which is very noisy and vibrates terribly. This is not a standard DVD/CD drive and is very flimsy gives no confidence of a long life. The power supply is also the new ATX12 VO standard and not compatible with the power supplies we are used to. This unit has only two leads to the motherboard and all sata devices are powered from the motherboard not the power supply unit.

So this desktop is sold as an HDMI unit, but they include a VGA cable. The recommended monitor supports VGS but the PC does not support VGA without getting an HDMI to VGA adapter. Other than that, the setup was quick and painless. Used my Office 365 account to transfer the data from the old PC to the new PC.

the motherboard/PSU combo is the new ATX12VO. There is ZERO Third party option to upgrade power supply. therefore the most you can add in gpu will most likely be a 75w pcie16x powered graphics card. gaming on this is very limited until the power supply becomes available. as of now i have not heard back from acer via email if they have a bigger power supply they will sell. none available on website or anywhere on the internet. i will update rating then for anyone who would like to know. now if you strictly want this for surfing web and youtube small load things like that. its a great computer. starts from off in like 20 seconds. fast processing aslong as its not a heavy load like gaming. i would give a higher then 2 rating if they made it perfectly clear how un upgradable it is.

My parents needed a new computer as their old one was from the days of Windows XP. I love how fast this computer is. It has a lot of USB ports and the Bluetooth is great for wireless keyboards and ear buds. I like how the SD drive has lots of space and start-ups are quick. You can also upgrade memory if needed but the 8 Gb is more than enough for my parents. They are happy and so am I.
