These fit our oversized extension cords great. We use them for our pool pump filter which would always trip whenever we got rain or ran the sprinklers. The installation is easy, and the included zip ties secure the assembly to prevent leakage. The plastic is not as thick as similar covers that I have ordered, but still seem to be good quality.

Purchased these to waterproof electrical connections for heated chicken and bunny waterers used over the Winter months. Prior to using these safety covers, I was having problems with snow and water getting to the plugs and causing GFI outlets to trip. This would cut the power to the heated waterers and subject the water to freeze in subzero temps, endangering the animals relying on the water heaters for hydration. These safety covers are extremely easy to use...just center the electrical plugs inside the compartment, press the cords into the crimps, and snap shut. The only real drawback is the small plastic latches on the outside break off very easily, with minimal effort. That being said, the safety covers still work fine if one of the plastic latches break. You can throw these onto the ground and let snow pile up over them and never worry about your plugs getting wet/corroded or tripping a GFI outlet.Overall, these safety covers work well for keeping water off of 2 or 3-prong plugs used on extension cords. If you want to double the protection, coat the male and female plugs with Corrosion-X and you'll never have water problems or electrical shorts that can trip off a GFI outlet. Docked a star because the small plastic latches on the outside break too easily.

I was surprised. Much sturdier and more substantial than I expected. High quality material and precise molding.

They kept my connection dry in a heavy rain.

Really works and keeps my cords protected from the rain. I keep them outside on my deck and use it for all my cords. Will buy again.

The quality is not great. If you have extension cords that are in alignment it works satisfactorily. But it doesn't work if you have an extension cord that attaches at a right angle. See photo. In trying to compress it so it would close one of the clips broke off. I wasn't able to close it completely so it would be waterproof. I didn't think of this before I purchased it.
