This handy little blow torch really packs a punch! It's also easy to use and to refill. The flame is conveniently adjustable, so you can tailor its performance for the job at hand. In the kitchen, it can easily sear a steak or perfectly brown the surface of a crème brûlée. It can also serve a a fireplace tool; it's powerful enough that you should be able to ignite your kindling even without using any crumpled newspaper to help it out. I'm sure that you could also use it to sweat a pipe, for a home plumbing job, although I don't intend to use it that way.As is clearly stated in the Amazon listing, this torch does not come with any butane; so you will have to purchase that separately (if you don't happen to have any on hand).It has a very solid feel and appears to be very well made. I expect it to give good service for years to come.

Not only does it look beautiful and classy it is very powerful and great for my outdoor hobbies. It is better than I expected, so easy to use and lightweight enough to hold for a while without a problem.

When I first received this torch and filled it, I had the same problem as a previous reviewer: On high setting, the torch would flame (not the blue, steady normal flame). A big blob of yellow, low pressure flame would be produced. When on low, it was fine.After re-reading the instructions, I think I filled the tank with too much butane. Says fill for 10 seconds only to about 40% full. So, I emptied the tank completely and refilled for 10 seconds. Works great now!

I did not buy this torch for use in the kitchen. I bought it to set off fireworks. I'm sure you can use it for cigars or cigarettes etc. It's easy to use. However, it will come empty. You need butane to fill it up with. Most butane cans come with several different tips so filling it should not give anyone an issue.

I purchased this after searching for a way to salvage wax seals that were setting up with a bubble here and there. Since that's a new experience, I was glad to see the solution of using a small torch like this. Since I used a much larger torch many years ago to achieve different effects on wax candles, I find this little torch a breeze to use. It also puts a nicer finish on seals that don't set up as nicely as I'd like. My thumb seemed to be moving the flame intensity regulator while I was using it, though. So, I solved that little problem by covering that area with a piece of cellophane tape. So, if you have a similar problem with your wax seals, a mini torch like this is the way to go.

This product has no surprises. it's reliable, safe. No out burst of flame. Lights when it's supposed to. Quality for the price. Had it 5 months works like it did new :)

I go through a lot of torches. They get used daily for several hours & almost all of them break with in 30 to 60 days. I got 90 out of this one so better than most I guess. I have bought the "good ones' more expensive , solid bodies, feels good, obviously good materials used. Dont' matter, they stop working too, I know how to clean them, take them apart but it don't matter. They all break & stop lighting

This torch works without issue. There is one knob on the torch that does not do anything, but that doesn't matter because simply the torch does a good job at crisping up things around the kitchen. I have also used in the workshop for coloring wood and other cool items. You can adjust the flame and it was very easy to fill.Keep in mind that this does NOT come with fuel, i think that's pretty standard as its hard to ship these things. I headed to the big box store and it was easy enough to pickup. To fill you simply press the nozzle to the fillup port and just push down until you don't hear any noise. Then click the button adjust the flame and your off. A lot quicker and more efficient then using the broiler in the oven, plus you can't forget about it and burn your hard cooked meal.
