High-Quality, Instant Prints with a Fun Retro Feel!
I purchased the Kodak Mini 2 Retro photo printer earlier this year, and it’s become one of my favorite gadgets for capturing memories on the go. Whether it’s family gatherings, vacations, or scrapbooking projects, this compact printer delivers excellent photo quality in just a few moments. The 4PASS printing technology really sets it apart—photos come out dry to the touch, with rich color and detail, and a protective layer that keeps them from fading. I’ve noticed that prints from this device are sharper and more durable compared to traditional instant printers. The printer is incredibly easy to use. Setup was quick, and connecting via Bluetooth with my phone was seamless using the Kodak app. The app allows you to edit, crop, and add filters or text before printing, which adds a fun, creative element. The size is super convenient—small enough to carry in a bag or backpack, and the retro design gives it a nostalgic charm. The 68-sheet bundle is also a great value, ensuring you’re stocked up for many print sessions.Pros:✔ Excellent photo quality with 4PASS printing✔ Fast and dry-to-touch prints✔ Durable, smudge-proof finish✔ Easy Bluetooth connection with smartphone✔ Compact and stylish retro design✔ Great value with 68 included sheetsCons:➖ Slightly slower print time (about 50 seconds per photo)Bottom Line:If you’re looking for a portable photo printer that delivers high-quality, long-lasting prints with a stylish retro vibe, the Kodak Mini 2 Retro is a fantastic choice. It’s reliable, fun to use, and produces professional-looking prints right from your phone. Highly recommended for families, creatives, and memory-makers alike!

Tested 4 portable printers. Best performing but very difficult to find paper/ink
I tested 4 portable printers side-by-side. This was the standout for my 12 year old. The second best in photo quality (to the Canon SELPHY QX10) with very good quality. The app and device is far easier for my 12 yo to manage and more features.I want so much to give this a 5-star rating, but finding the replacement paper and ink is nearly impossible. (Note…this is advertised by Amazon “with” the Zink paper as an add-on which is not the right paper. )If you don’t care about photo quality, Canon Ivy is a great option. Easy to use. Great app. Lots of extra features in the app. Quality is “decent enough” lacks clarity and often dark.Canon SELPHY QX 10 is the best quality, but only prints square format and is slightly more tricky to use…certainly not prohibitively difficult…just not as easy for a 12 yo. The prints can be stickers which I like far better than I thought I would. Fun to stick in journals, etc. paper is slightly easier to find.Instax printer was my least favorite for photo quality and usability, however, it uses the same paper as the instant cameras, so it is easy to find.

Device is amazing, but app has some issues. Still def recommend.
First, i do absolutely love this thing. Its so handy and even though prints are small, quality is usually great. Its a great compliment to my many instax cameras and is definitely more versatile and easy to use.It was easy to set up and connect with my iphone and charges decently fast, though it does seem like the battery does deplete pretty quickly every charge. I’ve had it for about 2 months, and its spent almost all of that toted around in a backpack and this week left in a hot car for an hour with no problems. So it seems pretty durable.I’ve only been through two packs of film but so far these are the only things I’ve had issues with:- biggest complaint so far is the app! It’s not just feature limited… it actually messes up prints if you add frames - pics 1 &2 attached are the same original image, one printed with the frame and one without. The one with the frame, the detailed parts end up pixelated and the lines distorted. Note especially the area around the dogs eyes and the lines of the truck under the window. It took me a couple tries to figure out, originally thought it was the printer, but prints fine without adding the frame in app.Other than that, buttons are sometimes unclickable, and the app is just clunky.- i had one sheet print blank. It was like my second print, and haven’t had an issue since.
