Re the rubber mat- no it isn’t. I don’t know what a drainer is! I would imagine that you can buy the items separately.

Does this slice tomatoes

I wouldn't try because to use the mandolin you press down slightly & push against the blade & this will squash a tomato. It's better for firmer items like carrots, cucumber, courgettes, cabbage etc. I always slice tomatoes vertically with a sharp knife.
