The Beatles Complete - Updated Edition. Guitar Solo.

Although this is an "Easy Guitar" version of the Beatles Songs, I have owned the printed version for several years and have always found it to be a useful launch pad for experimenting with the collection of Beatles songs in different fretboard positions, whilst modifying the basic chords to suit my own personal interpretations. I was therefore presently surprised to find it accessible as a Kindle download, which allows for more flexible access. It is one of many Beatles guitar books in my collection which represent different levels of complexity, some of which have been based on the actual recorded versions and others which come pretty close, although it would not be true to say that this is the case with this particular one. However, it does serve another very important purpose by providing just the absolute basics of melody and chord progressions necessary for those wishing to evolve an approach to playing Beatles guitar music, without being overwhelmed .

It's everything a Beatles fan and guitarist want

This product arrived in the time allocated. It is to be a Christmas gift to my daughter and I know she will be chuffed to pieces with it. It was well wrapped up and in perfect condition.

Whilst this has a large list of contents, it cannot be described as complete as it misses out a number of The Beatles song list including most notably “from me to you”

Too many songs that are not known as well as others.

I saw this book in a shop and whilst not a definitive Beatles songbook it looked to be a good simplified book for the beginner/intermediate guitar player. The Kindle version I surmised would be as good and, as most of my music is on my iPod, accessible anywhere. Wrong. Whoever adapted the book to Kindle format has placed intrusive copyright notices not just at the beginning of songs but, where a song is over two or more pages, within the song itself. Thus the flow of trying to follow a song is rendered impractical and the book worthless for those wishing to play from it. It takes real skill to be able to spoil over 120 Beatles songs but this book, in Kindle format, shows how it can be done. Avoid.

Music in book not in same key as Beatles original music, therefore not much use to me.

On kindle its low contrast (grey on white). On PC only some of the staves are visible. The page layout is also awful and the lyrics are too small to be read.

The delivery was a little bit longer than I expected, but with what’s been happening throughout the world that’s to be expected. The book itself it’s missing some very important songs in it. So it’s not really (THE BEETLES COMPLETE ). One of the songs, I want to hold your hand is not in the book, that’s just one. Plus not all of the songs show the introduction. But overall it’s a good book.
